info_outlineEach class at Worthington High School gets to choose a speaker for their commencement ceremony, and the WHS class of 2023 chose William Merida Diaz to speak on on Friday, May 26, 2023. Merida Diaz, a beloved paraprofessional who dreamed of becoming a teacher, died May 3, 2023, after a lengthy liver disease, at age 28. During the ceremony, he was honored with a moment of silence, and his portrait was placed on a table outside the WHS gym where commencement was held.
