For today’s discussion, we move on from detoxification and explore the two most prevalent liver diseases, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and it’s more aggressive sibling, NASH or Non-Alcoholic—Steato-Hepatitis.

Just fatty liver on it’s own is estimated to have a worldwide prevalence of 25%. In Hong Kong this number is lower at around 14% but the progression towards fibrosis and NASH is increasing quickly, with some case showing signs of NASH in just three years.
