We go to a local cell tower and dress the guide wires up with springs, cymbals, whilst contact-bowing metal objects through a bass amp. The airstream was once again used as a broadcast satellite, to then mic up using AEA R88 and condenser mics. The cell tower will soon be available to be loaded into your sampler and use the many new textures as an instrument, as heard in this podcast. Watch for the launch of SpiceRack; loops and samples from The Jawshop - Adventure Recording.

This episode we dive into IR [Impulse Response Convolution]. Taking my mics into adventure recording environments to create reverbs for film and television, music, podcasts and anything under the sun. A 2track stereo recording of a basic drum loop is used to compare three mic'd areas in the 1959 airstream 24ft studio trailer. The trailer is thus flown in using Space Designer in LogicPro to provide the reverb for the drums.

In this episode via phone from Bowen Island BC, we have guest Buff Allen again. Buff is a Canadian veteran jazz drummer, who has worked with the likes of Lenny Breau, Mose Allison and winning a Juno award with The Hugh Frazer Quintet, just to name just a few. The conversation weaves all things drums, to the present state of the music industry, Jimi Hendrix and fatherhood. Very pleased to have him back on the show for a nice relaxed chat.
