Today, Lisa is joined by Grammy and Emmy award winning producer, Rikki Hughes. Rikki has executive produced shows for talent such as Dave Chapelle, Emmanuel Hudson, James Davis, and Katt Williams. From award shows to running some of your favorite comedy specials as the go-to producer, Rikki has been the brains behind it all and uncovers her journey from wanting to once join medical school to her accidental shift in the entertainment business.

Rikki's open up to us about her incredible journey from an experimental summer as a road manager to repping music video directors to her major role as the director of the international department for Priority records. She recalls working in the music industry at Priority Records and having to face the reality of the upcoming transition of music going digital and knowing record companies would struggle to maintain. Rikki took the opportunity to take a leap to producing television and creating her own production company, Magic Lemonade.  

Lisa and Rikki chat about being prepared, facing diversity or lack there of in the workplace, challenges as a women, and If you've ever had a vision and thought you need to start from the bottom or thought you weren't equipped, think again. Rikki's journey reminds us that we are worthy and can provide solutions to others problems just like everyone else.
