About:

Erin Winters, founder of Erin on Demand, joins us as we discuss how she navigated away from the traditional journalism tract and became her very own boss! Erin shares the ins/outs of her journey and what it has been like being the creative force for businesses of all different sizes.

Erin drops special gems on how to effectively conquer daily goals and the secret to finding the ‘perfect’ mentor. She even shares a few of her own top tips for entrepreneurial success and how to conquer being your own boss!

Our Guest:

Before Erin On Demand, there was just — Erin — a girl from Detroit with dreams of one day becoming a reporter for a major news company. But during her senior year at Howard University, those dreams faded into dust and she no longer desired to go the traditional news-reporting route. This drastic change of heart left her feeling completely overwhelmed and confused about her future.

She decided to pivot into the digital world and explore more creative storytelling through social media, and took a job at a Michigan credit union as their Digital Spokesperson. A year later, she won a nationwide contest and became the first Digital Correspondent for National Geographic. Now, she runs her own show. Literally. She has a digital marketing and video production company, Erin On Demand.

She’s worked with small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, on mastering their brand's message through social media and engaging video. She also has a YouTube channel where she shows her journey of building her business, while giving entrepreneurship and branding advice. It has amassed over 30,000 subscribers in about 9 months. She believes that staying true to herself and following joy has brought her here, and is going to take her further than she can even imagine.
