The data gives the state the ability to identify those who most likely have a future that involves gang affiliation, unplanned teenage pregnancy, dropping out of school, mental health issues, suicide, substance abuse, and crime. With these early indicators understood, and data on the efficacy of interventions and programs equally understood, Oregon is headed to address the most complex issues of modern society.
