The Next Chapter with Charlie
Show Notes “Michael’s life is a testament to the truth that adventure is not a destination, but a way of being. It doesn’t wait for holidays or perfect plans—it whispers from Arctic backroads and echoes through Silicon Valley boardrooms. It lives in the hearts of those bold enough to say, simply, ‘Let’s do this.’” Michael’s story offers a roadmap for anyone seeking meaning beyond their resume and proving that the sixties are the perfect time for radical new beginnings. Show Notes Today we are chatting with Larry Kesslin, entrepreneur and philosopher of life. Larry writes this… “My life changed in 2012 during a trip to Africa. I went there to bring computers to rural villages in eastern and northern Uganda, but what I found was something much deeper. I met people who had very little in a material way, yet they were joyful, connected, and full of purpose. “Their way of living opened my eyes and made me rethink everything I believed about success and happiness. I wanted to understand one thing: Why are so many successful people unhappy?” Let’s...

Show Notes #400 Ash Perrow: Working from the Heart Today with my guest Ash Perrow, I release my 400th podcast episode. When I began this project, I had no idea where this journey would lead — only that I felt called to speak, reflect, and explore what matters most. Very few podcasts ever reach 400 episodes. I read that fewer than 1% of all podcasts reach 400 episodes. The real milestone, however, isn’t the number of shows. It’s the conversations, the growth, and the community that has formed along the way. At this time, I especially want to thank you for listening and thinking with me....

Our show today is about endings and beginnings AND the of the unspoken time in between the two. Life is one long journey of beginnings and endings. Projects, careers, marriages, and life itself all have an end.
Beginnings are typically both challenging and inspiring. My personality type is driven to begin new ventures, loves change, and new opportunities. But I must always keep in mind that with beginnings must also come endings. But, with an end is also a new beginning… even with death.
Unfortunately, we all too frequently harbor some kind of negative emotion around things coming to an end, especially an abrupt or unwanted end. However, that certainly doesn’t have to be the case.
T.S. Elliot writes in his poem East Coker from Four Quartets, “To make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.”
In this show I’d like to share a new insight that occurred to me more than one year ago. That insight has to do with the crucial time between ending one station in life and wisely proceeding to the next. It was from this experience that I learned the “value of the tomb,” the resting place between a figurative death and resurrection.
Today’s show will be just Producer Paul and me talking about, “Lessons from the Tomb.”
