In this special edition of The Santiago Way, host Bill Stegall interviews Lyanamar Medina, Coordinator for Faith Formation and Hispanic Ministries at Santiago. She is also Chair of the 2019 Camino de Santiago (Lake Forest Route!), which regularly atracts hundreds of participants

Lyana was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and explains what it was like growing up there, versus now. Her vast and varied education includes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Material Science Engineering, Simón Bolívar University, Venezuela,
  • Master’s Degree, Business Administration from Metropolitana University,Venezuela,
  • Diploma of Religious Education Teacher and Catechist, Instituto Superior de Teología y Pastoral of the Archdioceses of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and 
  • Certified Laical Minister and Catechist from the Diocese of Orange.

Lyana is married to Leopoldo Peña and three children complete their family: Leopoldo, Luis David, and Fabiana.
