**More on Jennifer**

Founded in 2015 on Oahu, Hawaii by Jennifer Teixeira, Sweet Sweet Honey Hawaii, is a baby/mommy apparel brand inspired by Jennifer’s grandmother and parents, who would create ornate aloha print patchwork blankets for special events and occasions. Utilizing her degree in graphic design from FIDM, she worked for Forever21 before she made the move back home to Hawaii where she worked for surf brand Blue Hawaii. From there Jennifer went on to found Sweet Sweet Honey Hawaii, after giving birth to her second daughter, and not finding the styles and fabrics that represented personality, style and practicality.

Growing up in Hawaii was a clear influence with her casual and cute tropical designs, featuring lightweight fabrics and easy-to-put-on pieces that give Sweet Sweet Honey Hawaii its signature style. Taking the concept of ‘ALOHA’, Sweet Sweet Honey has given back by donating premium swaddle blankets to their NICU ward of their local hospital. In addition the brand has adopted eco-friendly practices with minimal packaging and plastic use, as well as their tree planting initiative to use profits to plant 10,000 trees by 2021.

In 2017, Jennifer was diagnosed with breast cancer as the brand started to flourish, leaving her mentally and physically exhausted, but she pushed through in running her business. Jennifer hoped to inspire others struggling from the devastating disease through faith and determination to continue fighting. As a result Jennifer underwent a mastectomy and remains cancer-free to this day.

Sweet Sweet Honey is currently available online and in-store at all Nordstrom locations.
