Four Jacks & a Jill - Awesome pop from 1960's South Africa
Release Date: 03/08/2008
Quite awhile ago I found the song "Master Jack" over at Little Hits. It blew me away and made me happy. I went out immediately and tracked down the LP it came from, an out-of-print gem itself called Master Jack by Four Jacks & a Jill. They were a white South African pop group who performed from the mid to late sixties. The five piece group had the stunning Glenys Lynne, aka "Jill", at the helm vocally and I have to say that I've developed somewhat of a crush on her. She was so cute in 1968.
Anyway, since there is no reason to believe this album will be reissued anytime soon, its time to share.
