This Girl Loves Sleep

Kids who never learned strong sleep skills as babies and toddlers are still struggling with sleep. In other cases, kids who were great sleepers can suddenly be faced with sleep issues too. What’s interesting though, is that even though many adults struggle with sleep, parents can be quick to assume that their child could actually ‘just go to sleep’ and not have the sleep problems they're having. In reality, that’s hardly ever the case. If your child has been struggling for more than a week, then they likely need some assistance in finding their way back to better sleep.  In this...

More Episodes

We’ve been wanting to do this episode for quite some time because we know how many of you are struggling with both sleep and breastfeeding. Often these are two relationships that go hand in hand and there are many questions from parents in regards to both. The reason why we’ve waited until Season 3 is simply because it was very difficult to find a lactation consultant that checked all our boxes. We wanted to make sure that the professional that we brought to you was very much that, a professional with the right experience and training that gave us the confidence to share them with you. Sleep Expert Alanna McGinn also wanted to make sure that the lactation consultant we spoke with was educated and passionate about breastfeeding and its importance but didn’t make you leave this episode feeling any more breastfeeding guilt than perhaps you already do. It was also very important for us to share someone who understood sleep training, and while perhaps didn’t agree with everything, was open minded enough to have the conversations with us and who also understood that when a lactation consultant and sleep consultant work together, everyone benefits.
