*Deeeeeeep breath*. Four year olds are a special kind of hell. They are cute and CRAZY. Give them the exact snack they requested? Obviously you are stupid because that was NOT what they truly wanted. Tell them one more short show before bedtime? You must be out of your fucking mind to have boundaries. LOL... It's exhausting to keep things cool and calm amongst their emotional downward spiral.

This turned out to be one of the best decisions she could have made for her own sanity and that overall happiness of her fami

Moms, we need to take the day back and get a real break.

Giving birth during this pandemic... was not in my plan! Mentally surviving this last year adding a third child into our family all while during the pandemic and distant learning and all of the things was intense.
info_outlineIn this week's episode, Whitney talks about how white people need to learn how to unpack the white supremacy that lives within them, their relationship to it, and why it's important to learn how to be anti-racist. And, how educating our children to be anti-racist is an important component when it comes to making change.
Shared in this episode, are the powerful words of Imani Payne via instagram: Real Growing Paynes on IG
"I am so tired of feeling devastated. I am so tired of loss. Of tragedy. I am tired of the heaviness in my chest. Pandemic, miscarriage, injustice after injustice after injustice. I am tired. I am tempted to retreat back to my cocoon of grief. Where I can turn off the noise and fill my soul with idyllic childhood moments like this. My cocoon where it feels safe for my son to exist. Where a traffic stop, an ignorant mistake, or a white person having a bad day aren’t all life threatening situations. But I can not retreat. I can not ignore the world. I must engage in order to attempt to make things better for my boy (and yours). My heart is with every parent in this country who has dedicated their life to nurturing a Black child, to cultivating Black joy, to delicately preserving Black innocence. The world tells us our children aren’t worthy of growing up. All too often we witness scenes that make us fear for the lives of our babies. We shouldn’t have to carry this fear. We will post, we will talk, we will March, we will scream, we will vote, and we will burn this motherf* to the ground if we have to. We won’t stop until we are heard and see change because our children’s lives matter. They matter as babies and they still matter as grown ass adults. I’m so fucking tired of having to say that. #amplifymelanatedvoices #dontmesswithmama #blm #blacklivesmatter #blackboyjoy "
