The Manhunters, robotic lifeforms who were the precursors to the Green Lantern Corps, have come to Earth seeking out John Stewart. The League tries to stop them before John turns himself in. He is then taken to an alien planet for judgement as he is accused of destroying a planet while doing his duty as a Lantern. Unfortunately he admits to his guilt of the crime.
The League does not believe it. Flash risks the death sentence to defend him. Superman & J'onn head to the destroyed planet's moon to seek out answers. Hawkgirl confronts the other Lanterns for their lack of support.
It turns out the Manhunters are out for revenge against The Lanterns for taking their jobs and the Guardians for abandoning them. They orchestrated the situation to cause mistrust and dissention. Thanks to the League, John is acquitted.
They must rush to OA to stop the attack by the Manhunters. A Manhunter takes the main Lantern Battery power. Thankfully John is able to save the day with his oath.
