Over at NXT Battleground, Trick Williams pinned Joe Hendry to become the new TNA World Champion, marking the first time that title has changed hands at a WWE event. Stephanie Vaquer retained against Jordynne Grace in a hard-fought match, while Oba Femi and Sol Ruca continued their respective title reigns.
On Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cody Rhodes returned to confront John Cena and Logan Paul, setting up a major tag match for Money in the Bank. Damian Priest defeated Drew McIntyre in a steel cage match, and Bronson Reed aligned with Seth Rollins to form a new trio with Bron Breakker.
