info_outlineI think it happens to us all. When we are in the hustle we have a tendency to just put things off. The one thing I think we can’t afford is to put off good health. But unfortunately, at least for me and I’m betting for you as well, this might be one of our greatest procrastination’s. If we are to design our lives and work hard towards whatever goals we are after we need to be fit and be functioning at our best. So if you’ve been putting this off like I used to do, tune in today as I give you some cheap easy and healthy foods that will not only save your pocketbook, but save you time and improve quality of life.
Here are my top 7 and how I use them:
1 Apples
2 Bananas
3 Potatoes
4 Garlic
5 Carrots (requires refridgeration)
6 Onions
7 Tomatoes
Bonus not mentioned in the show Steel cut rolled oats.
Here’s my preparation.
No refrigeration needed.
Make several for the entire week is what I do.
1 Fill a half pint jar with steel cut rolled oats half way.
2 Use your choice of milk, I prefer coconut milk, fill the jar all the way to the top allowing a small space
3 Add a tablespoon of honey.
4 Add a pinch of salt and screw on preferably a non-BPA plastic lid.
5 Give it a couple shakes and that’s it.
Put it in your car, purse or a backpack accompanied with a spoon. And you got a healthy breakfast or lunch that will prep its self in a few hours. And trust me I used to think that I’d be hungry after eating this. But steel cut rolled oats are actually very nutty and thick and will definitely satisfy your hunger for up to 2 to 4 hours.
