Episode 101 - Luxa Strata - Consent, Chaos Magic, Experiments and The Self

Welcome to Weird Web Radio!

This episode features the return of Luxa Strata! It's been a few years since Luxa was on the show so it is an incredible honor to have her back!

Luxa is the host of one of my personal favorite shows, The Lux Occult Podcast. As I say in this episode, each one of her episodes come together like a cool old school variety radio show. This one just happens to be all about the occult, magic, trance, music, bibliomancy breaks, and interviews! Please go check it out on all the platforms. 

Luxa is also at the forefront of experimenting with Chaos Magic, spirituality, and building community. The Green mushroom Project is growing and going strong. The new project within that community is called Void House. That's where Luxa and others are exploring Consent and how that can be a driving mandate and value in magical communities and magical work. There's more. So much more! The experiments are one of the great things about the Green Mushroom Project! 

This episode was a lot of fun! We covered a large area of ideas, inspiration, experiments, and what it even means when we say Self. 

Luxa's BIO:

Luxa Strata is an artist, magican, and host of the Lux Occult podcast: a show about the intersections between Magic, Art, Philosophy, and Science as viewed through the lens of a Chaos Magic. Luxa is the lead-organizer of The Green Mushroom Hyphosigil Project: a large-scale, ongoing group magickal working and working group focused on building connections, fostering creativity, and empowering individuals to become more agentic through the use of magick and esoteric technology; as well as Void House: creating a consent-forward magical space, investigating the healing and alchemical properties of consent and offering free or low-cost consent education to the magically inclined.

Luxa has released three musical albums of ritually produced aural erotica and sigilized design, recently beginning work on a new, adjacent project. Luxa’s personal magical practices focus on philosophical and psychological inquiry, self exploration, and remediation as well as on enriching everyday life with praxis involving food, trance, eroticism, sound, dance, visual art, and fostering curiosity.
