Welcome to Wholistic Hearts Podcast

Here on Wholistic Hearts, I think it’s important for me to state the foundation of what I share hear on the podcast.  This has been adapted to be personal to me but is the same beliefs as Bethel Church in Redding, CA.

I believe in the Trinity- The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  There is only one true God who is the King of Kings, Creator, and Redeemer of all. He is better than we think. Always in a good mood.  He is the pinnacle of 1 Corinthians 13- Love himself.  He is and always will be.

I believe that the Bible is God-breathed and the Word of God.  I believe it is infallible.

I believe that each person has been created in the image of God to enjoy Him and delight in Him. I believe we have all been given a choice to follow Him.

I believe Jesus was born through the virgin Mary and is the Messiah empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s kingdom here on earth. Jesus died for our sin, was buried and resurrected and ascended into heaven and is now alive today  in the presence of God the Father and in His people.

I believe we are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repentance, belief, and receiving Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, and adopts us as we enter the kingdom of God as His sons and daughters.  I believe in the ongoing and sanctifying power of Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4; it is poured out on believers that they might have God’s power to be His witnesses.

I believe in the victorious, redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy- sin, lies, sickness, and torment.

I believe the church is the Bride of Christ- those who put their trust and faith in Jesus Christ.  I believe in the power of communion and baptism.  I believe the Body of Jesus is used to advance teh Kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, using our voices to preach and declare of God’s Good News- His love.  I believe in discipling people all over the world to encounter Jesus, Holy Spirit, and the Father.

I believe in the power of our imagination as a place to offer to Holy Spirit to sanctify and create.  I believe in the power of the communing with God through Holy Spirit by prayer, meditation, encounters, Scripture, art, music, worship, writing, etc.

I believe Jesus will return as He is our Blessed Hope. He is our Bridegroom.  He will visibly return to rule and reign with His overcoming bride- The Church.

I believe heaven and hell are real places.  I believe there will be a resurrection of the lost and the saved, the one to everlasting death and the other to everlasting life.
