Jennifer and Alison Donaghey Discuss How to Think Opposite

Yes, And . . . Podcast with Jennifer Whitacre

Release Date: 11/14/2018

Alison Donaghey is the radio host of Think Opposite, the author of Think Opposite: Using the Domino Effect to Change Your Business, Change the World, a speaker, and a Cause and Effect strategist.

Do you ever look at someone and wonder, "What were they thinking?"  Do you ever look at yourself and wonder, "What was I thinking?"  Have you ever thought about thinking?  Do you think about your thoughts?  Do you ever question your own beliefs?  Are you aware of your own habits?  If you answered NO to any of these questions, then you're in for a treat with this episode!
Alison encourages all of us to think opposite, to think differently, to think about our own thoughts, and perhaps most importantly, to question all of it, especially our own thoughts and beliefs.
Today's conversation touches on a vast array of topics, including: schools, the news, #metoo, #mypart, worthiness, men and women, equality and differences, mass shootings, how we raise our kids, obstacles, and shame.
Alison is promoting the #mypart movement.  #mypart is a commitment to move from being a victim and taking control of your life in a positive, meaningful, and deserving way!
When we move from a victimized state then we free our emotions and thinking to create positive outcomes in our lives.
She believes all choices we make fall into 3 categories.
It's important to recognize when our motivations are coming from a healthy place (vs. an unhealthy place).
Alison reminds us that the people around us have so much wisdom if we just listen.
She also shares with us how she deals with shame to minimize its impact in her life.
Learn why it's important to understand someone else's perspective.
