One of the most frustrating but empowering parts of being a business coach is seeing where entrepreneurs stop themselves. Often times, they don't even realize that they're stopping themselves. Something very logical comes in their way like personal circumstances, something related to their child, or something seemingly not working in their business. But the truth is that every entrepreneur has had their own obstalces too. The difference is how they move through and past them. Today, I talk to my own coach, Lacey Sites, about going the extra mile. Lacey Sites is the founder of A Lit Up Life,...

The merging of motherhood with entrepreneurship looks different for everyone. There is not one path, and it can feel like we have to sacrifice one in order to fully show up in the other. But that is not the case. You can STILL be a hardworking, Type-A entrepreneur, AND show up for your children. In today's episode, I am joined by my friend and client, Natalie Bacon. She is an entrepreneur, and most importantly, a mom, soon to welcome her third in three years! Natalie is the founder of Mom On Purpose, where she coaches moms and entrepreneurs on how to be the mothers they want to be while...

I recently had my first $200K sales month. As a business owner, I used to see those big numbers from other entrepreneurs, and felt like I would've given anything to see things like that myself. Now, I recognize what goes into it. I'm incredibly proud and grateful for it. AND, I care more about what they symbolize for my business and family than the numbers themselves. Today, I want to share what is more important, and what we as business owners should be focusing on month to month. Tune into hear: The honest conversation of sales vs. cash in a monthly window, and how to decipher which one is...

Personal finance as an entrepreneur can be beyond confusing. Not only does much of the personal finance advice out there apply to those with paychecks, but we also get conflicting advice. Entrepreneurship is inherently risky. With so much personal finance being about saving for a "rainy day," estimating conservatively, anti-debt, etc. it can feel like you can't make a right move as an entrepreneur. On the other hand, there's few too many "success" stories out there of entrepreneurs making millions of dollars but having a million more in debt, none in savings, little to no profit margin, etc....
info_outline2023 wasn't the year of dramatic GROWTH for me, so much as it was the year of maintaining my success while doing less.
With my son turning two, this year we let go of our nanny so I could be with my son full time. I did this while still maintaining an average of $50k cash months and a 85% client retention.
In this episode, you'll hear:
-
What worked well this year: the traveling that worked well, the client support and in-person experiences, prioritizing motherhood, and marketing systems that helped me scale.
-
What didn't work well: the marketing strategies that failed, the goals that were total wastes of time, the flops... I share it.
-
What's next for us: changes in how we work with our clients, focuses in Q1 that are changing from what we've focused on in Q4, and more
