YAPPY GIMPS
Yappy Gimps is what happens when two clairvoyant, trauma-seasoned, sharp-witted women decide to stop masking and start yapping. Hosted by Mela (comedian, author of The Vagrant Gimp) and Kelly (recovering corporate beige mom with a talent for deconstructing nonsense), this show dives headfirst into the absurdities of current events, the weight of harmful cultural matrices, and the messy, hilarious, and often taboo realities of disabled life. We laugh, argue, question, and story-share our way through the things most people find too hard—or too uncomfortable—to talk about. Along the way, we model healing out loud, challenge power structures, and co-command the hologram to our collective will. Guests will join, tangents will happen, and no topic is too weird, too dark, or too sacred to yap about. Different and the same, miles apart but perpetually in sync, we’re here to spin chaos into clarity—with humor, heart, and a whole lot of yap.

YCHATS
Featuring real-life stories from young people across Western Australia, together with a mix of high profile personalities and professional speakers to offer practical support and advice. YChats has been created following focus groups with young people across the state where they identified the need for a safe space for them to talk through their own lived experiences as well as hear from experts on how best to navigate difficult times and situations. YMCA WA's aim is to start conversations about those topics people often find difficult to discuss, whilst removing stigmas.
