HEALING OUR COMMUNITY PODCAST
Trust is the foundation of healing, but in many communities, that trust has been hard to find. Whether in the rural landscape of Delta County, Colorado, or the suburbs of Chicago, the challenges of mental health are universal—yet the way we talk about them needs to be real. Join Dr. Ray and Jean as they bring "Real Talk" to the table. With over 25 years of experience through Lighthouse Emotional Wellness and a deep-rooted commitment to the KBH Center in Delta, they are dismantling the "outsider" perspective and replacing it with a permanent seat at the table for your wellness. Each episode dives into the honest, often unspoken struggles of modern life: - Breaking the Stigma: Redefining mental health as community maintenance, not weakness. - Privacy & Safety: Addressing the unique concerns of seeking help in small towns and close-knit circles. - Rooted Support: Moving past transient care to build a legacy of healing that stays. This isn’t just a clinical lecture; it’s a conversation. It’s about understanding that while our locations may be different, our need for connection, resilience, and healing is a shared journey. Welcome to the conversation. Welcome to our shared community.
HEALING OUR RELATIONSHIPS: FROM CODEPENDENCY TO AUTHENTICITY
Healing Our Relationships is a transformational podcast guiding listeners into the deeper work of relational healing, self-trust, and spiritual awakening. Hosted by Marisa La Fata—Insight Timer Meditation Teacher, Intuitive, Transformation Guide, and a woman with more than 18 years of lived recovery and spiritual practice—this podcast offers a grounded, heart-centered path back to the truth of who you are. Marisa’s work blends psychology, codependency recovery, addiction healing, Toltec wisdom, trauma-awareness, and soul-level spiritual practice. She is known for her ability to translate complex inner work into clear, embodied, compassionate guidance—rooted in her lived experience of awakening and her commitment to helping others return to themselves. Each episode invites listeners beneath the surface of codependency—not just the behaviors, but the origin: the fear, the survival strategies, the inherited agreements, and the inner narratives that once kept us safe but now keep us small. With her signature depth and clarity, Marisa explores patterns such as people-pleasing, avoidance, projection, control, hypervigilance, and self-abandonment, showing how each one formed and how to shift them with compassion rather than shame. Listeners learn how to: • Identify the unconscious agreements shaping their relationships • Differentiate fear from intuition, trauma from truth • Set boundaries without collapsing into guilt • See themselves through the lens of their soul rather than their history • Heal from old relational wounds and learn to trust their inner voice • Build relationships rooted in courage, clarity, honesty, and love Whether you’re navigating partnership, friendship, family dynamics, or your own inner patterns, this podcast is ultimately about coming home to the most important relationship you will ever have—the one with yourself. HEALING SOLS PODCAST
What I have found in my work as a marriage, family and sex therapist is that I’m in the work of helping people heal from limiting, incorrect, and even harmful messaging. I’ve noticed over the years that I take a very solution focused approach to my work. And, in order to find solutions, we need information. This is why I love podcasting. It gives me an opportunity to interview so many amazing people who have something of value to share. Whether that’s their story, their professional experience, their research, their art or their resources, you will find a wide variety of guests on the show. Which explains my choice of name: Healing Sols. It's a word play between "solutions" (things we want help with in our healing journey) and "souls" (the people who share of their energy and experience to help in that process.)
