MALLWALK
On November 11th 2004, 14-year-old Conrad Cliff jackhammered into the water main at The Royal Galleria near Belmont, California. Twenty-three people drowned. Three people were electrocuted in the arcade. Two people were fatally bitten by a hammerhead shark that escaped from the mall's aquarium. And the teenager responsible was never found. No body. No trace. Blair Van Auken was with Conrad at the mall that day but refused to speak about the incident for 18 years. Until now. This is a 6 part series on madness, machines, and melancholy in the MallScape of America. This is MallWalk.

MALTBY WELLBEING PROJECT
Coming Soon in April 2023! The Maltby Wellbeing Project Podcast by the New Mentality group is designed for youth to talk about strategies to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and cope with difficult emotions. It will launch in February of 2023 with content made by youth for youth. Maltby Centre was originally established as Pathways for Children & Youth in 1996. In 2018, the Agency was renamed Maltby Centre in honour of the founding director, JoAnne Maltby, who was an incredible advocate for children and youth. The New Mentality (TNM) is a network of youth-facilitated groups from across Ontario who work with partner agencies in their communities to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. Each group has dedicated youth and adult allies who work together on projects throughout the year. These projects promote meaningful engagement by empowering youth to concentrate on the work they are most passionate about. We strive to create an inclusive and intergenerational circle of care in which everyone can flow among the roles of helper, supporter, and receiver of help. As a provincial network, we amplify youth voices to create change in the mental health system and beyond. Once a year, each group sends youth representatives accompanied by their adult allies to meet with other groups from our network to share projects, build skills, and make meaningful connections at a 4-day leadership retreat that we call Disable the Label.
