After listening to her podcast episode called “Surviving the Sunken Place,” and I was blown away by how much I learned from it. As someone who has been through trauma, I know how important it is to keep learning and growing from it. It’s like going to the gym, you have to do it often to see the results! One thing that Jocelyn said that really stuck with me was “connect with your village.” She meant that we need to reach out to people who care about us and support us, no matter where we are in our healing process. In this episode, she also talks about how we should get help before things get too bad. If we wait too long, we might hurt ourselves or others, and that’s not good for anyone. She also reminds us to respect ourselves and our limits, and not let anyone cross them. Jocelyn Vaughn's message holds invaluable wisdom for survivors and those overcoming adversity. I encourage you to heed their wise words and proactively apply them in your life. You can listen to her podcast episode by clicking on the link below. You won’t regret it.
