AI Can Give You Knowledge—But Can It Give You Wisdom? | The Future of Work, Faith & Human Creativity
What happens when artificial intelligence can produce answers faster than we can, but still cannot understand what it means to be human? In this episode, I sit down with a prominent expert on artificial intelligence to explore one of the most important questions facing us today: How do we embrace the benefits of AI without surrendering the distinctly human qualities technology can never replace? We discuss why AI is much more than another productivity tool. It is beginning to reshape how we work, think, create, communicate, and even form relationships. While AI can process extraordinary amounts of data and turn information into useful knowledge, there remains a critical gap between knowledge and wisdom. AI does not live in the real world. It doesn't experience relationships, interruptions, consequences, suffering, responsibility, or the countless contextual realities that inform genuine human judgment. We also explore what healthy AI adoption should look like inside businesses and organizations. Rather than simply giving employees access to AI and expecting transformation, leaders need to develop what we call “AI fitness”—training people to use these tools effectively, critically, responsibly, and within community. From deepfakes and algorithmic addiction to AI companions and the temptation to outsource our creativity, this conversation goes beyond what AI can do and asks what we should allow it to do. Ultimately, AI may offer us an extraordinary opportunity: allowing technology to handle more of the drudgery of work while freeing human beings to pursue creativity, relationships, wisdom, character, and meaningful work. But that will only happen if we intentionally decide what should—and should not—be outsourced. 📘 Get my latest book Bold Not Belligerent on Amazon: 👉 💭 A different way to reflect this week: • Am I using AI to strengthen my thinking—or allowing it to replace my thinking? • What parts of my work are drudgery that technology could appropriately handle, and what parts are formative experiences I should protect? 📌 In this episode, we discuss: ✅ Why AI represents a fundamental transition in human labor ✅ The difference between data, information, knowledge, and wisdom ✅ Why AI cannot replicate the real-world context behind human judgment ✅ How AI tools can actually shape the people who use them ✅ Why organizations need “AI fitness,” not simply AI access ✅ The importance of communities of practice when adopting new technology ✅ How deepfakes and synthetic content are contributing to a crisis of trust ✅ Why human interaction remains essential in an increasingly digital world ✅ The danger of outsourcing creativity and critical thinking ✅ How AI companions could become substitutes for genuine human relationships ✅ The biblical distinction between the drudgery of labor and the delight of creativity ✅ How leaders can embrace AI without sacrificing wisdom, character, or human connection 📢 TAKE ACTION: 🤖 Identify repetitive or administrative tasks where AI can genuinely save you time 🧠 Protect activities that require critical thinking, imagination, judgment, and creativity 👥 Create opportunities to learn AI alongside other people rather than experimenting entirely in isolation 🔍 Verify AI-generated information instead of automatically trusting the output 🤝 Intentionally prioritize face-to-face relationships and conversations 🙏 Ask whether the technology you use is helping form you into the person God has called you to become 🔗 Connect with the Guest: 🌐 Website: 📱 Instagram: ▶️ YouTube: 📘 Pre-Order AI @ Work - 🔗 LinkedIn: 🔗 Follow Peter Demos: 🌐 Website: 📱 Instagram: 📘 Facebook: 𝕏 Twitter/X: 🙌 Subscribe for conversations on faith, culture, leadership, truth, technology, and living with wisdom and conviction in rapidly changing times. #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #PeterDemos #FaithAndTechnology #FutureOfWork #ChristianLeadership #AILeadership #HumanCreativity #BiblicalWorldview #Technology #Leadership #FutureOfAI #UncommonSensePodcast

Is the Supreme Court Becoming Political? | Dr. Hunter Baker on Courts, Congress & the Constitution
What happens when the Supreme Court becomes just another political battleground for political power? In this episode, I speak with with Dr. Hunter Baker, Senior Fellow for First Liberty Institute’s Center for Religion, Culture, and Democracy, to talk about the growing debate over the Supreme Court, judicial independence and Americans’ troubling decline in civic knowledge. Hunter explains why calls to expand—or “pack”—the Supreme Court have returned to the political conversation and why changing the size of the Court could fundamentally undermine its independence. We also explore the differences between originalism and the “living Constitution” approach, why the current Supreme Court is far less predictable than many political narratives suggest and what happens when Americans begin viewing judges as another group of elected politicians. But the problem extends beyond the courts. Hunter and I discuss how Congress has shifted from deliberation toward performance, with lawmakers increasingly rewarded for viral clips, social media engagement, and partisan loyalty rather than thoughtful policymaking. Ultimately, this conversation raises an even deeper question: Can a constitutional republic survive if its citizens no longer understand how—and why—their government was designed to work? 📘 Get my latest book Bold Not Belligerent on Amazon: 👉 💭 A different way to reflect this week: • Do I understand the Constitution and our system of government well enough to recognize when political power is being abused? • Am I evaluating political institutions according to principle—or simply according to whether my side is winning? 📌 In this episode, we discuss: ✅ Why court packing has returned to the national political conversation ✅ The history of FDR’s attempt to expand the Supreme Court ✅ Why nine Supreme Court justices has remained such a durable model ✅ The danger of turning the judiciary into a “second legislature” ✅ Originalism versus the living Constitution approach ✅ Why the current Supreme Court is not a predictable political voting bloc ✅ How the Dobbs decision intensified the battle over the Court ✅ Why Congress has shifted from policymaking toward political performance ✅ How social media rewards outrage and viral moments ✅ The decline of bipartisanship in Washington ✅ America’s growing civic knowledge crisis ✅ Why rebuilding civic education matters for the future of self-government 📢 TAKE ACTION: 📖 Read the Constitution and become more familiar with how our three branches of government were designed to function. 🏛️ Learn who represents you at the local, state, and federal levels. 🗳️ Evaluate candidates based on character, principles, and governing ability—not simply social media performance. 🤝 Engage people with different political perspectives without treating disagreement as hostility. 🙏 Pray for wisdom, courage, integrity, and humility among those entrusted with public authority. 🔗 Connect with Dr. Hunter Baker: 🌐 First Liberty Institute: 🌐 WORLD Magazine articles - 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/hunterbaker 🌐 Center for Religion, Culture & Democracy: 📘 Books by Dr. Hunter Baker: https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/B001TNLIRQ?ingress=0&visitId=52e15f8a-ed15-4b88-b368-9d9edc042384&ref_=aufs_ap_ahdr_dsk_ab&ccs_id=379dada1-95ac-4ac5-804d-62bd8eebd723 𝕏 Twitter/X: LinkedIn: 🔗 Follow Peter Demos: 🌐 Website: 📱 Instagram: 📘 Facebook: 𝕏 Twitter/X: 🙌 Subscribe: Subscribe for conversations on faith, culture, leadership, truth, religious liberty, government, and living with conviction in challenging times. #HunterBaker #PeterDemos #SupremeCourt #CourtPacking #JudicialIndependence #Constitution #CivicEducation #ReligiousLiberty #FirstLiberty #AmericanGovernment #FaithAndCulture #UncommonSensePodcast

Why Biblical Manhood Is Under Attack | Joby Martin on Courage, Strength & Standing Firm
What does it really mean to be a man in today’s culture? In this episode of Uncommon Sense in Current Times, I sit down with Pastor Joby Martin, founder and lead pastor of The Church of Eleven22 and author of Stand Firm and Act Like Men, to discuss why biblical masculinity is being challenged from every direction and why recovering it matters more than ever. Together, we explore the difference between authentic biblical manhood and the counterfeit versions offered by modern culture. Joby explains why men often fall into one of two extremes—passivity or aggressive machismo—and why Scripture calls men to something far greater: strength shaped by sacrificial love. We also discuss the importance of accountability, the power of authentic male friendships, the necessity of spiritual guardrails and how everyday disciplines prepare men to stand firm when life becomes difficult. Whether you’re a husband, father, young man, church leader or simply seeking to understand God’s design for masculinity, this conversation offers practical wisdom rooted in Scripture. 📘 Get my latest book Bold Not Belligerent on Amazon: 👉 https://a.co/d/eGTPSYS 💭 A different way to reflect this week:• Am I pursuing biblical strength that is shaped by love—or simply reacting to the pressures of culture? • Who are the men in my life that have permission to challenge me, encourage me, and carry me when I need them most? 📌 In this episode, we discuss: ✅ What the Bible actually teaches about biblical manhood ✅ Why modern culture pushes men toward passivity or false masculinity ✅ The five commands of 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 ✅ Why love is the foundation of true strength ✅ The importance of having “mat carriers” in your life ✅ How accountability protects men from failure ✅ Practical guardrails for integrity, purity and leadership ✅ Raising the next generation of courageous men ✅ Why boldness is developed long before moments of crisis ✅ How the local church helps men flourish spiritually 📢 TAKE ACTION: 📖 Read 1 Corinthians 13 and 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 this week 🤝 Reach out to four men who can become trusted accountability partners 🙏 Ask God to reveal areas where you need stronger spiritual guardrails 💪 Commit to one daily discipline that strengthens your walk with Christ 💡 Remember that biblical strength is always demonstrated through sacrificial love 🔗 Connect with Pastor Joby Martin: 🌐 Website: https://www.jobymartin.com 🌐 The Church of Eleven22: https://coe22.com ▶️ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheChurchofEleven22 📘 Stand Firm and Act Like Men: https://a.co/d/0bwhPaUd 🔗 Follow Peter Demos: 🌐 Website: https://www.peterdemos.org/ 📱 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/peterdemosofficial 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/peterdemosofficial 𝕏 Twitter/X: https://x.com/peter_demos 🙌 Subscribe for conversations on faith, culture, leadership, biblical truth, apologetics, and navigating today’s challenges with wisdom and conviction. #JobyMartin #BiblicalManhood #PeterDemos #StandFirm #ChristianMen #FaithAndCulture #BiblicalLeadership #ChristianPodcast #Masculinity #Discipleship #ChurchLeadership #UncommonSensePodcast #Courage #Integrity

Can Secularism Sustain Society? | Bruce Ledewitz on Morality, Meaning & the Future of Civilization
Can a society flourish after it abandons its religious foundations? Where do meaning, morality, and truth come from if God is removed from the cultural conversation? In this thought-provoking episode of Uncommon Sense in Current Times, I speak with a self-identified atheist about the “death of God.” Bruce Ledewitz is a constitutional law professor and author of The Universe Is on Our Side and American Religious Democracy. In our conversation, we explore one of the defining philosophical questions of our age: Can secularism sustain a civilization? Although Bruce approaches the discussion from a secular worldview, he acknowledges many of the challenges facing modern society, including declining trust, rising anxiety, the erosion of shared truth and the growing influence of nihilistic materialism. Together, Bruce and I examine whether Western civilization can preserve morality, purpose and social cohesion without the Judeo-Christian framework that shaped it for centuries. This respectful conversation explores the intersection of philosophy, faith, law, culture and public life while challenging listeners to think deeply about the foundations upon which healthy societies are built. 📘 Get my latest book Bold Not Belligerent on Amazon: 👉 https://a.co/d/eGTPSYS 💭 A different way to reflect this week: • What ultimately provides the foundation for my understanding of truth, meaning, and morality? • Am I intentionally building my worldview—or simply inheriting one from the culture around me? 📌 In this episode, we discuss: ✅ Whether secular societies can sustain meaning and morality over time ✅ The cultural implications of Nietzsche’s “death of God” ✅ The rise of nihilism and materialism in the modern West ✅ Why truth has become increasingly contested in public life ✅ The relationship between science, religion and human purpose ✅ The philosophical roots of postmodernism ✅ Why social cohesion appears to be weakening across society ✅ Can morality exist apart from religion? ✅ The importance of intellectual honesty in difficult conversations ✅ How believers and secular thinkers can engage respectfully while pursuing truth 📢 TAKE ACTION: 📖 Reflect on the foundations of your own worldview 📚 Read viewpoints from people you both agree and disagree with 🤝 Practice having respectful conversations across philosophical differences 🙏 Ask whether your beliefs provide lasting hope, purpose, and meaning 💡 Pursue truth with both humility and conviction 🔗 Connect with Bruce Ledewitz: 📚 The Universe Is on Our Side: https://www.amazon.com/Universe-Our-Side-Restoring-American-ebook/dp/B09LVVFWS2/ 🌐 He writes for Only Sky: https://onlys.ky/author/bledewitz/ 📚 American Religious Democracy: https://www.amazon.com/American-Religious-Democracy-Secular-Politics/dp/0275994600 🔗 Follow Peter Demos: 🌐 Website: https://www.peterdemos.org/ 📱 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/peterdemosofficial 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/peterdemosofficial 𝕏 Twitter/X: https://x.com/peter_demos 🙌 Subscribe for conversations on faith, culture, philosophy, leadership, public policy, worldview, and navigating today’s biggest questions with wisdom and conviction. #BruceLedewitz #PeterDemos #Secularism #ChristianWorldview #FaithAndCulture #Philosophy #Morality #MeaningOfLife #Worldview #TruthMatters #ChristianPodcast #UncommonSensePodcast #ReligionAndCulture #WesternCivilization

Why Skeptics Become Christians | Dr. Jana Harmon on Faith, Doubt & Practical Apologetics
What actually causes an atheist or skeptic to become a Christian? Is it evidence alone or is there something much deeper taking place? In this compelling episode of Uncommon Sense in Current Times, I enjoy a great conversation with Dr. Jana Harmon, senior fellow for Christian apologetics, researcher, and host of The Ex-Skeptic Podcast, to explore what her years of studying former atheists have revealed about faith, doubt and conversion. Drawing from interviews with hundreds of former skeptics, Dr. Harmon explains why belief is rarely driven by facts alone. Together, Jana and I discuss the powerful role of personal relationships, storytelling, worldview, intellectual honesty and the hidden desires that often shape what people choose to believe. They also examine why practical apologetics—the way Christians live their lives—may be just as important as philosophical arguments, and why everyday believers often have a greater impact on someone’s journey to faith than celebrity converts or public debates. Whether you’re sharing your faith with skeptical friends, wrestling with difficult questions yourself or simply seeking to become a more effective witness, this conversation offers practical wisdom rooted in both research and Scripture. 📘 Get my latest book Bold Not Belligerent on Amazon: 👉 https://a.co/d/eGTPSYS 💭 A different way to reflect this week: • Am I living a life that makes the Gospel believable before I ever speak about it? • Who has God placed in my life that simply needs another “drop in the bucket” rather than a debate? 📌 In this episode, we discuss: ✅ What Dr. Jana Harmon’s research reveals about atheist conversions ✅ Why evidence alone rarely changes someone’s mind ✅ The role of story in practical Christian apologetics ✅ How relationships influence spiritual transformation ✅ The intellectual, emotional, and volitional barriers to belief ✅ Why approximately 80% of converts had a positive Christian relationship ✅ The dangers of platforming celebrity converts too quickly ✅ The “bucket” analogy for sharing your faith ✅ How Christians can be bold without becoming belligerent ✅ Why authentic Christian living is one of the strongest apologetics available ✅ Practical ways to engage skeptics with grace, truth, and confidence 📢 TAKE ACTION: 🙏 Pray for one person in your life who is searching for truth 🤝 Build intentional relationships instead of trying to win arguments 📖 Learn to tell your own story of faith with honesty and humility 💬 Look for opportunities to ask thoughtful questions before offering answers 💡 Remember that God calls us to faithfully plant and water—the results belong to Him 🔗 Connect with Dr. Jana Harmon: 🌐 Website: https://exskeptic.org 🎙️ eX-Skeptic Podcast: https://exskeptic.org/podcast/ ▶️ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@exskeptic 🔗 Follow Peter Demos: 🌐 Website: https://www.peterdemos.org/ 📱 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/peterdemosofficial 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/peterdemosofficial 𝕏 Twitter/X: https://x.com/peter_demos 🙌 Subscribe for conversations on faith, culture, leadership, apologetics, worldview, truth, and navigating today’s biggest questions with wisdom and conviction. #JanaHarmon #PeterDemos #Apologetics #ChristianApologetics #FaithAndReason #ExSkeptic #ChristianWorldview #FaithAndCulture #Evangelism #TruthMatters #ChristianPodcast #UncommonSensePodcast #Atheism #ConversionStory

The Information State: How Digital Power Controls Modern Reality | Peter Demos & Jacob Siegel
Who controls the information you see, the narratives you believe and ultimately the reality you experience? In this eye-opening episode of Uncommon Sense in Current Times, I sit down with Jacob Siegel, contributing writer at Tablet Magazine and author of the influential new book, The Information State, to examine how political power, technology, media and digital infrastructure have merged to shape modern public perception. Jacob shares how today’s most powerful institutions no longer rely primarily on force or legislation to influence society. Instead, he believes they increasingly operate through information systems, algorithms, narrative management and digital networks that shape what we see, think and discuss. Together, Jacob and I explore the military origins of the internet, the rise of digital influence operations, the collapse of traditional media gatekeepers and the growing challenge of discerning truth in an age of information overload. We discuss why institutions struggle to keep pace with digital communication, how narrative control affects politics and culture and what we can do to maintain clarity and independence in a rapidly changing world. Why Homeschooling Is Under Attack | Ray Moore on Parents’ Rights, Educational Freedom & the Future of Education
Who should have the primary responsibility for educating children—the family or the government? In this episode of Uncommon Sense in Current Times, I speak with Dr. Ray Moore, founder of the Exodus Mandate Project and a longtime advocate for homeschooling and Christian education. As homeschooling continues to experience unprecedented growth across America, new legislative efforts in several states are raising concerns among parents and educational freedom advocates. Dr. Moore explains why he believes homeschooling has become a target, what these proposed regulations could mean for families and why the battle over education is ultimately a battle over worldview, values and the future of the next generation. Together, Ray and I explore the history of American education, the rise of state-controlled schooling, the growth of homeschooling and the ongoing debate over parental rights versus government authority. We also discuss why more families are leaving traditional public schools and what the future of education may look like in the years ahead. The Truth About Ozempic & Weight Loss | What Nobody Is Telling You About GLP-1s
Are medications like Ozempic and Wegovy solving the obesity crisis—or creating a new health problem we haven’t fully understood yet? In this episode of Uncommon Sense in Current Times, I examine the explosive rise of GLP-1 medications and the deeper questions surrounding weight loss, metabolic health, personal responsibility, and long-term wellness with a leading expert, Dr. Ashley Lucas, the founder of PHD Weight Loss and Nutrition. While these drugs are often marketed as a simple solution for weight loss, emerging evidence raises important concerns about muscle loss, weight regain, metabolic decline and dependence on pharmaceutical interventions. Peter explores why sustainable health requires more than a prescription and why true transformation often begins by addressing the emotional, behavioral and lifestyle factors that contribute to weight gain in the first place. The conversation dives into the modern obesity epidemic, the role of processed foods, sedentary lifestyles, environmental influences, and the often-overlooked connection between emotional health and physical health.
