Another "Fairlife" Milk Animal Cruelty Scandal Erupts!
Another shocking new animal cruelty scandal has erupted involving milk suppliers to Fairlife, a billion-dollar milk brand owned by Coca Cola, sparking calls for a boycott. Animal Recovery Mission, ARM, has released gut-wrenching footage from 2 Arizona dairy farms supplying milk to Fairlife. A 6-month ARM investigation found “egregious and frequent” animal cruelty with animals being hit, dragged, whipped, shot, shoved, force-fed and chained at two Arizona farms. One ARM video, released in 2019, involved an Indiana Fairlife dairy supplier that sparked headlines, protests and lawsuits. In 2022, Fairlife owner Coca-Cola and other parties agreed to pay $21 million to settle lawsuits for falsely advertising that their Fairlife ultra-filtered milk came from humanely treated cows. Fairlife then proclaimed that, "animal welfare is and will always be a top priority” and that it had “significantly strengthened our animal care programs and processes since 2019″ through video camera monitoring, a third-party advisory board and more unannounced audits at supplying farms. On its website, Fairlife now makes big claims about its high animal welfare standards saying, "Caring for animals is a top priority at Fairlife, and it all begins with strong relationships with supplying farms.” So, why the horrible cruelty uncovered by this latest undercover investigation? Fairlife has announced it has cut ties with the two Arizona farms where the cruelty was videotaped. But, ARM founder Richard “Kudo” Couto says that’s not enough. The Arizona Department of Agriculture is reportedly investigating as a new lawsuit is filed. Fairlife and Coca Cola are invited on any time to respond further. Now, UnchainedTV’s Jane Velez-Mitchell gets the inside story from ARM Founder Richard “KUDO” Couto and famed animal activist and podcaster Shannon Blair.
