Episode Six- Miles Tubb. Caring in a crisis.
This is a very personal account of caring for my father, while my mother was in hospital. The idea of How we live with dementia has always been to share experiences and knowledge. For me this a rather unexpected episode of the series but I thought it was relevant to share my thoughts of two weeks of care experience and how it all came about. One thing I forgot to mention was 'power of attorney' or Guardianship with a loved one. For me, in this instance, it wasn't an issue. However I would strongly recommend it putting it into place. It is a necessary and practical protection. Once again I would like to thanks the team of people who worked out of Tregaron Surgery and the care, district nurses and social work staff from the wider Ceredigion area. Their support was invaluble and kindness immense.
