On the Vivacity of Being an Autodidact with Ariane Timmermans of Eraani
Today on the podcast we are blessed by the presence of Ariane Timmermans, a fellow Projector and Human Design Analyst who guides humans back to self. She offers clarity readings using the modality of Human Design to connect humans to their purpose and has wholeheartedly found what she is excellent at in helping people integrate what makes them shine. We touch on a continuous investigation of life and traversing one field to another and somehow knitting it all together. By learning to decondition and tap into your innate gifts and lean into self-care, empaty, and self-love, she directs us to turn our light inwards and see what makes us ignite. We tap into the painful shedding of deep integrated conditioning and how the mainstream world pushes us to believe that finding oneself is not a path of struggle. The conversation flows and meanders on traveling alone abroad as a woman, the beauty of having two moms and being truly wanted, the will to live and participate in life, what it is like to grow up in Netherlands, and listening to your inner authority and being able to take pause. Join us on the second to last journey of season one to learn more about yourself and turn inwards as we lean into the last season of the year. On the Joy of Imperfections with Natha Perkins
Today on the podcast, we are joined by Natha Perkins of Electra Astrology, an intuitive guide who helps people see themselves in a wider way through astrology. Natha is an astrology visionary based out of Boulder, Colorado. I had the pleasure of linking up with Natha while I was on a solo decompression vacation in Boulder this summer and we had such a wonderful time. Originally, the plan was to record this podcast episode in person, but we decided to enjoy a slow tea and meander around downtown Boulder instead. This episode delivers!! We had such a profound conversation on leaning into the unknown, trusting the universe, the deep work of Venusian energy, and releasing self imposed pressure. We dove deeper into showing up as an artist on the social platform and how time is divided being a marketer versus being an artist, the gift of time the pandemic gave mom's with kids, cultivating a life of joy, and astrology. We traversed on the decision to leave creative practices as a profession when it starts to feel like creating products for consumption and it takes away your joy, aging as a woman in the public eye, metalsmithing, Emoto's work on water, synchronicities of favorite pieces making it back to the artists, and more. I spent a couple of years being a part of Natha's and was able to learn so much about myself through her guidance. I simply can not recommend it enough. Natha recently hosted a deep dive into Chiron course titled . 'Transformational Astrology: Alchemizing Core Wounds' alongside Emily Arth. I attended the class and took away so many beautiful gems which I plan to integrate into my life to support healing and better communication with my daughter and those I love. Be sure to sign up for her newsletter so you don't miss her next class. She is the podcast host of where I was recently interviewed over the summer. On the Grace of Aligning with your Purpose with Marie Bowser of Marie Bowser Acupuncture
Today on the podcast is a very special episode with Marie Bowser of Marie Bowser Acupuncture. Marie is a civil engineer turned acupuncturist who realized that the work she did needed to pivot and be meaningful. Through this major career change she found a modality that helped her heal others and share her true gifts. We discussed internalizing capitalism and doing what others want as opposed to what you want, unhealthy relationships to sugar, Eastern healing modalities, how to unplug, and on pretending to know when you don't. As Human Design Projectors, we lean heavily into the gentle balance of self care and sharing our gifts in the world. Being non-energy types, we need ample time and space to rest and do and explore what we love. Listening back, she touched on unhealthy evening coping and I realized, I had a similar practice with sugar as well. Marie is absolutely the best at what she does, and I felt compelled to share that she wins the local "Best of" contests without fail every. single. year. She is a gift to the world, and if you need support with the season shifts, I highly speak in favor of booking a five elements reading with her and subscribing to her newsletter. If you live in or visit the Bay Area often, I propose you look into her offering to see if they align for you. Marie is based out of Albany, CA. I was very fidgety for this episode as I absoutely love Marie so bear with me on the sound quality. Enjoy this fun, air sign episode! On the Beauty of Choosing your Own Adventure with Eli of Studio Sessions
Today on the podcast we are joined by Eli Dembele of in Berkeley. Eli is a an incredible powerhouse and a dynamic friend from Lyon, France who captured my curiosity with her immersion in the sewing world in the Bay Area, now offering workshops, classes, and one on one lessons. I was astonished at Eli's skillset overall it made me love and appreciate her more as she learned the craft during the pandemic. Eli and I traversed on deep topics such as racism, being Black women in the world, and the way the world tries to decide for us. We touched on the importance of carving time for hobbies, self care through meals (and lack thereof), and internet friendships. We had a transition moment where we decided to pause to pay the parking gremlins. Instead of adding a blurb in with my voice, I just left it in as the conversation had such a lovely natural flow and we trailed off in the end to enjoy a shared meal together. Eli is such a gem of a human who is cultivating sewing community in Berkeley, CA, where she and her partner settled right before the pandemic began. Welcome to On Creativity Podcast!
06/28/2023
Welcome to On Creativity Podcast!
Welcome! An introduction to the podcast and what you can expect from the show in 2023 and beyond! Hello and welcome to On Creativity. This is a podcast on being creative for left and right brains alike. Here, we deep dive into the idea that being multifaceted and not specializing in one thing in particular can equally be fulfilling. Everyone has value in the ways they show up in the world, and creativity does not only extend to art. It goes beyond art. This podcast offers stories on interesting people who are in my world and whom I feel curious about. You will notice this is completely unscripted and my hope is that this offers you the ability to lean back and enjoy being. Life places an immense amount of pressure on us to be sure about everything. The older I get the more I realize I am sure about nothing. I would like us to rewrite the narrative of needing to be sure about life and that mistakes are all bad. For me, mistakes have pointed me in the direction I need to be heading in, have redirected me, and have gently and not so gently nudged me along the path on this windy journey called life. Being creative calls for mistakes and is a neccessary part of creating art. Art is messy, life is messy, and in finding ourselves, sometimes things get a bit unclear, but it is okay and things will get better and improve. I hope you find something in these conversations that sparks you to try something new, or return to something that you used to love immensely. About your Host My name is Serah. I am writer, poet, and musician performing under the artist name Fo Fera. I am also the creative director of Bambini Del Mare an area for my musings on slow intentional fashion and my exploration in ceramics. I studied Apparel Design and Merchandising and am back in school once more in my 30's with a teenager in high school. I am an intense human, and feel everything very deeply. It has made life quite a journey, and I am learning how to be a better human day by day. I’m based in Northern California now, but most likely in the car heading to my next adventure somewhere far, new, and unknown. I am back in school studying Linguistic Anthropology and I have always been fascinated with the human condition. As a Gemini, I have always enjoyed connecting to myself by exploring various mediums, and I have noticed an immense amount of shame and pressure on those of us who want to live a bit more of a free life to make a choice and decide on no lane in particular. Ways you can learn more about me is to go to my various websites: Ways you can support me are to join as a paid supporter of my Buy me a Chai: Join me on Patreon: and Share that this podcast exists with friends and family you believe may find resonance in my words. I am a verbose human so I often have lots to say. Feel free to write me back via email at I am a snail to write back as I write with intention, and you can find that I will most likely reply on Fridays as that is one of my maker days. Onwards and upwards! Serah
