#5 - Unveiling Black Joseph Sold into slavery, falsely imprisoned, provided for his family, and he never left God’s sight. That’s when I started to think Joseph was black because despite what he went through God still showed him favor. Black Excellence is a display of Divine favor, despite what you may have been through. When I read the story of Joseph I always suspected that Joseph sounded black. When Mrs Potiphar was attracted to Joseph and came onto him, and Joseph ran away, but Joseph was sent to jail anyway. It made me think. Which demographic does that sound like? What demographic is disproportionately thrown into jail despite their claims of innocence, “They all say they’re innocent.” But I stay black, even when i am reading the Bible.
