Child Of The Moon
After his divorce, a writer takes to an isolated beach shack and hires a different call girl every month. Soon deep in the cliché of falling in love with one of them, he begins a private journal to examine the whole 'woman as sex/love-object' norm. As his year of sexual freedom unfolds, and other girls come and go, he sees his new obsession - that one girl who comes back again and again - more and more clearly. Twelve months later he emerges from the whole experience with a renewed take on the business of lust, the nature of love and the carnal road to spirituality. Child Of The Moon is his year-long journal-in-the-minute, a gonzo work of sex, love and Rumi. It's a no-filter memoir about a man with a little money and no strings attached: a man who sought the dark side only to find enlightenment. This podcast is that journal, that year, read by the author, month by month, twenty years after the events took place. Further details are at dn-charles.com
