Sending Off the Slams w/ Ross Whyte
It’s an old-school episode of Broom Brothers, as John and Robbie convene for the first half of the show to discuss a phenomenal week at the Crown Royal Players Championship in Steinbach, MB, where we saw an all-Scottish final on the men’s side and a magical run for home team Kerri Einarson on the women’s. We also discuss Silvana Tirinzoni’s potential retirement, the Swedish and Japanese national team battles, and whether or not we’re worried about our Canadian teams at the Olympics. Then, the focus turns to Ross Whyte, who joins us on his one day off between tournaments to discuss his Players’ win with John. We talk about his start in curling, how Craig Waddell has fit into the team seamlessly, what the Grand Slams mean to them, and dealing with the whole Bruce Mouat thing.
