Retired FBI Agent Jeff Rinek discussion about Yosemite Park Murders, investigating child serial predators and PTSD
In this episode, I speak with retired FBI agent, Jeff Rinek. During his 30 year career, Jeff investigated some of the worst child sexual crimes and murders. Listen in as Jeff explains how he subconsciously created "tapes" in his mind of the horrific details he saw at gruesome crime scenes. This exposure led to the development of PTSD including intrusive thoughts, mood changes, agitation, flashbacks and avoidance. In his book," In The Name of the Children: An FBI Agent's Relentless Pursuit of the Nation's Worst Predators." Jeff also discusses how he was able to obtain confessions, including from the Yosemite Park Murderer, Cary Stayner. Please note: this episode contains senstive details about child sex crimes and murder. Listener discretion is advised. This episode is not a subsitute for therapy. If you like it please leave a 5 Star review and share with family and friends! - Thank you! Melissa
