Closing One Chapter, Opening Another: Colby Shares What's Next In Her Story 🎙️ Hello everyone out there listening to "I Wish I Never Said That". I have some big and very exciting news to share today. You'll have to listen if you want to get the full scoop. I want to start by saying that being in the place I am now was unimaginable when I started this journey. The problems I was facing, the challenges that were pushing against me, and my own personal obstacles all felt insurmountable. I felt trapped, stuck in a dark void of substance abuse and my own self doubt. Starting this podcast and having the opportunity to express my thoughts, as well as bring on and learn from some of the most incredible and insightful guests, has been the single most significant source of inspiration for me and has had such a profound impact on my life. Truly, it has, so thank you. As I reflect on what we've been able to accomplish over the 62 episodes of "I Wish I Never Said That," I can't help but feel anything but grateful. Grateful for such a wonderful community that tunes in every week from all across the world. Grateful for the love and support I've received. But most of all, grateful for a new perspective on life. I feel more and more aligned every day with my purpose, and it's such a powerful and rewarding feeling. There is a next chapter to this story, just as there's a next chapter in your story. And I'm excited for us to discover that together. My mission always has been and always will be to bring together a community focused on making the world a better place. Mental health matters, and there needs to be a place where individuals like us can connect and discuss the issues that matter the most to us in a positive and authentic way. A place where it's okay to get uncomfortable, to be loud, to be heard, and most of all, to just be yourself. They're there to remind her of those "caterpillar-to-butterfly" moments in life, those opportunities to take a chance, a leap, and grow into a higher version of ourselves. 99% of the time, we avoid these moments. Like when she decided to leave dentistry and the pharmaceutical industry, defying the expectations her parents and society had set for her, to embark on a career that she felt was more fulfilling and one she truly loved. Although it was hard, finding the courage to step into this rare version of herself would fill her with purpose and help her start her program where she could teach young girls all the things that she didn't learn growing up.
