Starting over 15 years ago, David, who progressed through Hetherington to the current role of CEO, speaks passionately about the great people in the sector and how he has been adapting the business from its early focus on tenement, the right to mine, to providing the legal and environmental support through policy transition towards the growth of critical mineral mines that include solar, wind, and hydro, which push us towards zero omissions and sustainability goals. We discover that David and his wife, Vivian Salim non-Executive Director, have created a fourth pillar at Hetherington dedicated to social impact and focused on making a difference within the community. Proactively, the team has done a lot in raising awareness for key causes, including Autism Australia and Sydney Children's Hospital, and finding ways to ensure more schools have the capacity to provide spaces for special needs. This was a very engaging listen. John's tip for any business wanting to maximise that journey is to focus on: Stabilising to clearly understand the information you need when seeking insights for your business. On returning to Australia and raising a family, Simone adapted those creative skills and ventured into real estate, succeeding in learning all aspects of sales and negotiation. Following solid sales results, Simone took on the opportunity to start Atria Real Estate to ensure that the human touch would be the focus in partnering with clients through the emotional complexity of selling and buying. The aim is to change the approach within the sector to give the power back to the business owner, ensuring they have the information available that automates decision making ensuring they are acting fast and with confidence. Driven by a passion to ensure business owners have the knowledge available on their current asset value, Liam offered the following tips when thinking about expanding to ensure you are empowered: Be clear on your future plan - take the time to think about expansion and growth opportunities - be clear on how you articulate it and how passionate you are about it Understand your capacity - gather the data to determine clearly your assets and liabilities, your credit score, the value of your business and the funding levels available to you.
