PPL Talking

The PPL Talking podcast explores topics and stories of people involved with self-directed home care. Self-directed home care is a service model that empowers participants, usually eligible for Medicaid, with choice and control over the long-term services and supports they need to live at home, rather than with an agency or at a facility. Self-directed home care gives them the ability to hire their own care/support that they know and trust and schedule that support at the times that work for them. PPL is a large, nationally based Financial Management Services (FMS) provider. We support individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses and aging adults, eligible for public Medicaid assistance, to “self-direct” their own long-term home care. They have chosen to remain independent in their homes and active within their communities.
