IS THERE MORE? There are new spiritual dimensions awaiting our discovery. Let us TRANSITION TO ANOTHER LEVEL. Often times, these dimensions landscapes invisible to natural mind. Hear what happened to me in Ilo-Ilo! The American church has little grasp of the full accomplishment of the cross. We practice strange religious superstitions and notions that have little to do with the redemptive truth that Jesus paid such a great price to obtain for us (Rev. 5:9). We miss that the gospels were written to and for them and their situation. The Bible is written for us but not individually to us. We miss the point that accurate translations may change what we’ve always been taught. We have become paralyzed by fears and false notions that are incompatible with the revelation of the "new creation" in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17, Eph. 2:19, 3:14-15, 1 Pet. 2:9). Let’s take a look at some unknown territories and mysterious hidden concepts! The first couple chose death – they knew if they ate of the wrong tree that they would die. Yet, their mental processes caused them to step out of Paradise dominion into a natural mindset. After the Fall, they perceived life differently than before. A fallen nature causes you to see on a carnal level. DAILY – we choose which Tree will partake -- the Tree Of Knowledge Of Good And Evil or the Tree of Life. The Fallen nature interpret trouble from the level of the unrenewed soul. These people are confused and double minded. “New places” are unexplored territories that transcend the present known structure of things. Some of Israel saw grasshoppers while others were able to see victory. Enoch found a new dimension, a higher level. He walked with God and was not. He appropriated a dimension that eludes even our greatest preachers. Jer 1:11 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Jeremiah, what do you see?" And I said, "I see a branch of an almond tree. Then the LORD said to me, "You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word." ‘For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, MUCH MORE, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life’ (Romans 5:10) Let’s get started... His words were directed to the people He was talking to who lived then. His message was TO them and FOR them.. and FOR us. We study Scripture from a Finished Work Eschatology and apply the principles to our lives as well. Matthew 24 is not about the end of the world in our time – it is about the end of an AGE or era during their time. It was a time of great war when the Temple was destroyed in AD 57. Jesus was hungry and, "Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves.” WHEN did this story happen? One week before the crucifixion. It was Spring time. Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem, after staying in Bethany. Jesus recently had cleansed the temple of Moneychangers. The day before, Jews hailed him as king to deliver them (Matt. 21:1). He was hungry and saw fig with leaves but no fruit on the tree. God is ais the Farmer, the Husbandman who is always looking for fruit – no matter what the circumstances. Well, did Jesus finish His work? This is a vital question that every believe must determine. Did He complete my salvation or after I accept Him, do I have to do something more?? This is the trap of religion – to believe I must do something more to be acceptable, to be holy, or to be sanctified. But, this once — I do not want to make a New Year’s list of MORE to do. Statistically, less than 10% of those making resolutions will achieve that goal! “We must be willing to be free of the life we’ve extensively planned, so we can enjoy the glorious destiny that is waiting for us.” We pray to align ourselves with the Word of God and the purposes of God. We need to make room for changes in schedules. Do more of what already works! We don’t need to wait until January 1 to make changes! A good saying is, “I no longer believe in New Year’s Resolutions, I believe in daily resolutions.” This year, ring in the New Year by remembering your experiences… those good ones, and those you overcame. Celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in your Life’s book. May you have new ideas, create some new things, learn and live by experiencing things you’ve never done before. THE EPIPHANY OF THE DAY STAR ARISING Dr. Kluane Spake Leading Reform, Equipping Reformers The birthing of Christ comes to us as a body revealing His nature. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 tells us that Jesus will overthrow and uncover this mystery of lawlessness with the breath of His mouth and He will destroy lawlessness by the SPLENDOR OF HIS APPEARING. This word "splendor" is epithania, from which we derive our word "epiphany." This magnificent splendor is "a shining forth of the coming of Lord, and the Glory of Jesus as lightning seen from east to the west." The epiphany (or radiating grandeur of His glowing appearance) is further explained in 2 Timothy 1:9b-10, "This grace WAS GIVEN US in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has NOW BEEN REVEALED through the APPEARING (the glorious OUTSHINING) of our Savior, who has destroyed death and has (already) brought LIFE and IMMORTALITY to LIGHT through the gospel." The song, “Oh Holy Night” tells us that even though the world may be in sin and error pining – at the arising of Christ, the soul finds it’s worth. What an awesome statement… most of us long to find greater self-worth, and self-worth comes when Christ arises. When Jesus is birthed IN US and the Day Star arises in our heart. The song goes on to say, “Truly He taught us to love one another - His law is love and HIS GOSPEL IS PEACE” How can we find peace? Jesus lived and died to establish many realities that stretch from the salvation of the spirit and unto the salvation of our soul. Among many reasons, He died to create a new society upon this earth – one that is able to dwell in His presence and embrace His PEACE in our hearts in this world (Lk. 2:10, 11, 14). Even amidst the turmoil of this hour, Jesus is our only PEACE. We lose our peace when we build walls between us. Walls of difference. Walls of social distinction.
