The Big Five Project: Survivor Series '94- Episode 299
The Big Five Project returns to bring 1994 to an end as the guys cover Survivor Series '94. As 1994 came to an end, the winds of change continued to sweep through the WWF and that was highly evident on a November evening in San Antonio. A better event than the year before, Survivor Series '94 featured the break-up of Shawn Michaels and Diesel, a feud that would extend all the way to WrestleMania XI. Meanwhile, Survivor Series '94 would see a shocking WWF Championship title change as Bob Backlund, with a huge assist from Owen Hart, would dethrone Bret "Hitman" Hart in an unforgettable, emotionally charged, and highly controversial match. Thanks to Bret's mother, Mr. Backlund became the oldest WWF Champion in history (at the time) and Owen Hart showed us all just how low he would stoop to screw his brother over. Add in some solid Survivor Series matches, a special appearance by Chuck Norris, and The Undertaker exacting a measure of revenge against Yokozuna and we are left with a very solid PPV to close out 1994! We have all the details for you here, on another epic installment of the Big Five Project.

The Big Five Project: Summer Slam '94- Episode 298
The Big Five Project returns...and so does Kinny Killa as one of the best friends of the show makes a special guest appearance to cover Summer Slam '94! Emanating from the brand-new United Center in Chicago, the 1994 edition of WWE's summer extravaganza was an exceptionally good event that featured Razor Ramon recapturing the Intercontinental Championship, a very surprising heel turn, and one of the best women's matches anywhere in 1994. The highlight, of course, was the epic Steel Cage match for the WWF Championship between Owen Hart and his brother Bret "The Hitman" Hart and the guys do a watch along of that match here. Is it the greatest Steel Cage match of all time, as Dave suggests, or does the match just go too long? All that plus the return of The Undertaker as he takes on.... The Undertaker? It is as ridiculous as it sounds, but we have all the details for you here, on another epic installment of the Big Five Project.

The Big Five Project: King of the Ring '94- Episode 297
The Big Five Project returns to crown a new King of the Ring. In 1994, on the heels of WrestleMania X, Owne Hart found himself still in the shadow of his brother, Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Although he beat Bret at WrestleMania, the Hitman left as the WWF Champion. On this night, in Baltimore, Maryland, Owen took a major step in carving his own identity as he won three matches to emerge as the King of the Ring for 1994! Meanwhile, brother Bret had his hands full with a title defense against the reigning Intercontinental Champion, Diesel. Throw in a tag title defense by The Headshrinkers and a main event featuring two guys over 40, and this first PPV of the "New Generation" era was one to remember. So, we invite you to join us for a tremendous recap of King of the Ring '94 and the birth of the King of Harts!

The Big Five Project: WrestleMania X- Episode 296
The Big Five Project returns for one of the most anticipated Episodes in its relatively young history as this week the guys (joined by the one and only DPP) tackle WrestleMania X. Having toiled through a deluge of subpar PPVs in 1993, The Big Five Project reaches a proverbial oasis in the desert as WrestleMania X is one of the best Manias of all-time. The 10th Anniversary of the Showcase of the Immortals featured not one, but two, of the greatest WrestleMania matches ever and this Episode contains watch alongs of both of those matches: Bret Hart v. Owen Hart and then Shawn Michaels v. Razor Ramon in a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship! Also at WrestleMania X, we got "Macho Man" Randy Savage's final WrestleMania match, and the end of Yokozuna's reign as WWF Champion! So, we invite you to join us for a tremendous recap of WrestleMania X and one of the best Episodes of The Big Five Project so far!

The Big Five Project: Royal Rumble '94- Episode 295
The Big Five Project returns for another installment in the chronological analysis, review, and discussion about WWE’s Big Five PPVs/ Premium Live Events. On this Episode, the guys cover Royal Rumble '94. Having survived a less than stellar 1993, WWE would rebound with a much stronger effort in 1994 and it began here at the Royal Rumble. The undercard shined on this night with great matches featuring Tatanka v. Bam Bam Bigelow and Razor Ramon defending the Intercontinental Championship against IRS. But two other matches would have massive implications. In one of them, Owen Hart turned on his brother Bret to kick off one of the biggest feuds in WWE history. In the other, Yokozuna, and half the roster, stuffed the Undertaker into a casket and he was not seen again until the summer. Then, we ended up with one of the most controversial finishes to a Royal Rumble match in history. There is a lot to like here at Royal Rumble '94 so tune in to this latest installment of the Big Five Project and get all the details!

The Big Five Project: Survivor Series '93- Episode 294
The Big Five Project returns for another installment in the chronological analysis, review, and discussion about WWE’s Big Five PPVs/ Premium Live Events. On this Episode, the guys cover Survivor Series '93. WWE's roster continued to go through a ton of upheaval in the fall of 1993 and that is clearly evident here. Although this event went back to its roots, featuring the rerun of traditional Survivor Series elimination matches, those matches largely fell flat in a disappointing event. Still, the beginnings of two huge feuds (Bret Hart v. Owen Hart and Yokozuna v. The Undertaker) get their origins at Survivor Series '93, so it is not all bad. Plus, a championship match that was not even for any title sanctioned by WWE actually stole the show. Curious? Tune in to this latest installment of the Big Five Project and get all the details!

The Big Five Project: Summer Slam '93- Episode 293
The Big Five Project returns here on Episode 293. It's the Attitude Of Aggression and it is time to return for another installment in the chronological analysis, review, and discussion about WWE’s Big Five PPVs/ Premium Live Events. On this Episode, the guys cover Summer Slam '93. Hulkamania is officially dead, and Vince McMahon looked to Lex Luger to be the next big thing. He would not have quite the success he hoped for.... but we are jumping aboard The Lex Express on this Episode anyway. Summer Slam' 93 featured some good matches and great moments, but it largely fell flat. Anchored by the face turns of Razor Ramon and Lex Luger, we also got an underwhelming dream match between Shawn Michaels and Mr. Perfect. Bret Hart continued to really make a name for himself in his match against Jerry Lawler and The Undertaker finally laid the Giant Gonzales to rest. While certainly not the best PPV of 1993, Summer Slam '93 still had its share of key moments that would propel us forward for the rest of 1993 and into 1994. The guys have all the details for you here on another epic edition of the Big Five Project!

The Big Five Project: King of the Ring '93- Episode 292
The Big Four Project officially becomes the Big Five Project here on Episode 292. It's the Attitude Of Aggression and it is time to return for another installment in the chronological analysis, review, and discussion about WWE’s now Big Five PPVs/ Premium Live Events. On this Episode, the guys cover King of the Ring '93. In the wake of the disaster that was WrestleMania IX, WWE rebounded in a huge way with the first ever PPV version of the King of the Ring Tournament. After being screwed out of his title in Las Vegas, Bret "Hitman" Hart would complete a legendary hat-trick en route to becoming the first, and only, back-to-back KOTR winner. The guys cover all that, including a watch along of the epic Semi-Final match between Bret Hart and Mr. Perfect. KOTR '93 was also significant as it marked the official end of Hulkamania as Yokozuna emphatically reclaimed the WWF Championship from Hulk Hogan. All that plus Shawn Michaels retaining the IC title against Crush. King of the Ring '93 was clearly the best PPV of 1993 for WWE (by a wide margin) and the guys have all the details for you here on another epic edition of the Big Five Project!

The Big Four Project: WrestleMania IX- Episode 291
The Attitude Of Aggression returns for another installment of The Big Four Project, a chronological analysis, review, and discussion about WWE’s Big Four PPVs/ Premium Live Events. On this Episode, the guys face their ultimate challenge.... making WrestleMania IX interesting. Regarded by many as the worst WrestleMania of all-time, the guys do their utmost best to break the event down and to try and make sense as to how and why it was booked as badly as it was. WWE got the location right for WrestleMania IX, but everything else was very wrong. Filled with frustrating non-finishes, matches being made up on the fly, double Doinks, chloroform filled rags, and a bizarre finish done for the sole purpose of getting Hulk Hogan (of all people) over, WrestleMania IX was very bad indeed. The guys do find a few gems here and there though. Is it enough to salvage this event from the lowest level of WrestleMania hell? The Big Four Project: Royal Rumble '93- Episode 290
The Attitude Of Aggression returns for another installment of The Big Four Project, a chronological analysis, review, and discussion about WWE’s Big Four PPVs/ Premium Live Events. On this Episode, the calendar turns to 1993, a year of massive change in the WWE. We begin with Royal Rumble '93. It is an event where the undercard outshone the actual Rumble match as we got two massive title matches with Shawn Michaels defending the Intercontinental Championship against his former tag partner, Marty Jannety, and Bret "Hitman" Hart defending the WWE Championship against The Bad Guy, Razor Ramon. The Rumble match itself is notable as this was the event that started the tradition of the Rumble winner challenging for the championship at WrestleMania. While there was no way the 1993 installment could hope to match the 1992 edition, Royal Rumble '93 certainly announced to the world that Yokozuna had arrived....and was going to be a huge problem for the entire roster. On this Episode, the guys cover Survivor Series '92, an event that saw a radical departure from Survivor Series events of the past. With many top stars having departed the WWE in the Fall of 1992 (or having been fired), the 1992 edition of Survivor Series saw only one traditional Survivor Series match. But it did feature some firsts, such as the first ever televised Coffin Match in PPV history, the first time Mr. Perfect would wrestle a match since Summer Slam '91, the PPV debuts of Razor Ramon and Yokozuna, and the first of three truly notable battles between Bret "Hitman" Hart and Shawn Michaels. In the summer of 1992, the WWE traveled to Wembley Stadium in England and delivered an unforgettable event. Headlined by two epic matches, this was the event that truly made Summer Slam feel more like WrestleMania than ever before. In this chapter, the three amigos, Dave, PC Tunney, and DJ, reconvene to discuss two more huge events in pro wrestling history: Summer Slam '91 and Survivor Series '91. This chapter is all about The Ultimate Challenge and on this Episode, Dave is again joined by the one and only PC Tunney, along with the returning DJ of the Mindless Wrestling Podcast, to discuss two more huge events in pro wrestling history, Royal Rumble '90 and WrestleMania VI. The Big Four Project Chapter 5: Royal Rumble ’89 & WrestleMania V- Episode 278
The Attitude Of Aggression returns for Chapter 5 of The Big Four Project, a chronological analysis, review, and discussion about WWE’s Big Four PPVs/ Premium Live Events. On this Episode, Dave is again joined by the one and only PC Tunney to discuss two more huge events in pro wrestling history, Royal Rumble '89 and one of the biggest WrestleManias of all-time, WrestleMania V. However, the guys are also joined by the debuting Rob Bonette of The Mindless Wrestling Podcast to join in the discussion of Royal Rumble '89. The second Royal Rumble event was the first true PPV edition of the Rumble and saw a huge moment transpire in the disintegration of the relationship of the MegaPowers. It also included a big moment to spark the rivalry between "Ravishing" Rick Rude and The Ultimate Warrior, plus it concluded with, quite possibly, the most inconsequential Royal Rumble win in history. Dave, PC, and Rob also touch on that fateful night in Milwaukee in February of 1989, when the MegaPowers officially came to an end in a back room of the Bradley Center with the Macho Man's betrayal and assault of Hulk Hogan. From there, PC and Dave are rejoined by DJ from The Mindless Wrestling Podcast to breakdown WrestleMania V. The MegaPowers exploded at this huge event, which remains one of the most watched Manias ever. By and large, it was a bloated card with matches that were either too short or longer than they needed to be. But there were some still some excellent matches and moments to be sure, culminating with Hulk Hogan recapturing the WWE Championship from "Mach Man" Randy Savage in one of the biggest WrestleMania Main Events in history. The rise and fall of the MegaPowers reaches its conclusion here on Chapter 5 of The Big Four Project!

However, the guys are also joined by the debuting DJ of The Mindless Wrestling Podcast to join in the festivities. The fellas look at how the events of that night in MSG nearly 35 years ago redefined an industry. From there, Dave & DJ recap the second Survivor Series. While not as unique or good as the first Survivor Series, there were still many key moments that took place that night. The Big Four Project Chapter 2: WrestleMania III & Survivor Series '87- Episode 274
The Attitude Of Aggression returns for Chapter 2 of The Big Four Project, a chronological analysis, review, and discussion about WWE's Big Four PPVs. On this Episode, Dave is joined by the one and only PC Tunney to discuss two hugely important events in pro wrestling history, WrestleMania III and the inaugural Survivor Series. WrestleMania III is, of course, known for its missive live crowd, the titanic clash between Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant for the WWF World Championship, and the epic encounter between "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat for the Intercontinental Championship, a match considered by many to be the greatest WrestleMania match of all-time. The backstory for the very first Survivor Series is fascinating and shows how nasty things were between the WWF and NWA many years before the Monday Night Wars even existed. The first Survivor Series was loaded with great action and featured, quite possibly, the greatest Survivor Series team of all-time. Curious? Intrigued? You should be as Chapter 2 of The Big Four Project covers a stretch in WWE history that might very well have been the most important year in the history of the industry. Tune in and enjoy!
