What’s Coming Next: Healing, Empowerment, and the Journey Forward
Hello beautiful souls, and welcome back to the Intentionally B U Podcast. If this is your first time here, welcome — I’m so glad you found your way to this space. And if you’ve been walking with me on this journey for a while now, thank you for continuing to show up, listen, and grow with me. This podcast has always been about one thing: creating intentional space for healing, truth, and becoming who you were created to be. Today’s episode is special because I want to share what’s ahead — not just for the podcast, but for the community that’s growing around it. WHY THIS NEXT SEASON MATTERS (Minute 1–3) As we prepare to move into January, I felt it was important to pause and speak directly to you — the listener who may be standing at a crossroads. Maybe you’re tired. Maybe you’ve been carrying things in silence. Maybe you’ve done everything you know how to do… and you’re ready for something different. This next season isn’t about perfection. It’s about permission — permission to heal, to grow, and to say yes to yourself without guilt. That’s why the upcoming January podcast series is so important. In January, we’re launching a new empowerment and healing series that will focus on: Letting go of survival mode Rebuilding confidence and self-trust Healing from emotional wounds — quietly or loudly Learning how to choose yourself again Walking forward intentionally, even when fear is present These conversations will be honest. They’ll be real. And they’ll meet you right where you are — whether you’re just starting your healing journey or you’ve been walking it for years. You don’t need to have it all figured out to be here. You just need to be willing to listen. Alongside the podcast series, I’m also preparing to launch something very close to my heart — theEmpowerment Circle. This will be a safe, supportive space for women who are ready to grow, heal, and connect with others who understand the journey. The Empowerment Circle is for women who: Feel called to more but aren’t sure how to get there Are tired of doing life alone Want accountability, encouragement, and sisterhood Are ready to heal from the inside out This isn’t about judgment. This is about community, strength, and support. You’ll hear more details soon, but I wanted you to know — this space is being created with you in mind. I also want to briefly share a vision that’s still unfolding — the future Her Haven Transitional Housing initiative. Her Haven is more than housing. It’s a place of safety, healing, and restoration for women who need support as they rebuild their lives. This vision was born out of understanding how powerful it is when a woman has: A safe place A supportive community Emotional and empowerment resources And the space to heal without pressure While this is a future venture, it’s deeply connected to everything we’re doing now — because healing doesn’t start when housing is provided. Healing starts with hope, voice, and community. As we move into this next season, I invite you to stay connected. Follow the podcast on social media so you don’t miss: Updates on the January series Empowerment Circle announcements Behind-the-scenes encouragement and inspiration 👉 Follow @intentionally.bu.podcast on Facebook and Instagram And if today’s episode spoke to you, share it with someone who needs to hear that healing is possible and they are not alone. Thank you for being here. Thank you for choosing yourself. And remember — you don’t have to rush the process. Just keep moving forward, intentionally. Until next time… be intentional, be courageous, and most of all — be you.

In this episode, I dive into the transformative concept of the power of a made-up mind. Reflecting on my own experiences, I talk about how the struggles I faced, from financial instability and homelessness to domestic violence, often made me feel powerless. There were times when I felt like giving up, but deep inside, I knew I couldn't let fear and despair dictate my life. I learned that the real battle wasn't just in the world around me but within my own mind. I had to be intentional about redirecting my thoughts, grounding myself in faith, and choosing to believe that I could overcome whatever challenges came my way. I share how important it is to be intentional in everything we do—our thoughts, our actions, and our prayers. It's easy to get lost in the noise of negative thoughts and external pressures, but by making up our minds and focusing on what truly matters, we can find peace and purpose. I hope this episode encourages you to take control of your thoughts, stay rooted in faith, and keep moving forward with determination and hope. Embracing Kindness: The Journey To Self Discovery
In this episode, I continue our journey of self-discovery and growth by exploring the critical role of self-compassion. Reflecting on my own experiences—from growing up as an orphan to enduring abusive relationships—I share how these hardships deeply affected my sense of self-worth and my ability to love myself. My struggles with low self-esteem and lack of confidence not only shaped my life but also influenced my children in ways that were painful to witness. I open up about the difficulty of breaking free from the cycles of rejection and self-neglect, especially when those wounds are compounded by the scars of domestic violence. Despite the challenges, I am now reclaiming my narrative, embracing self-compassion, and intentionally shaping a future rooted in faith and love. My goal is to break the cycle of pain and create a legacy of healing and empowerment for my children and grandchildren. I hope this episode encourages you to be kind to yourself as you navigate your own journey of growth. Embracing Who We Are Destined To Be
In this episode of the *Intentionally BU* podcast, I had a profound realization about the importance of intentionality in becoming who we are destined to be. I've struggled with self-doubt and low self-esteem, but through prayer, meditation, and daily affirmations, I've started to shift my mindset. I've chosen affirmations that resonate deeply with me, focusing on confidence, consistency, and commitment. This journey has taught me that true beauty and confidence come from within, and it’s vital to align my actions with God’s guidance rather than seeking validation from others. I also shared personal experiences where I often put others' opinions before my own desires, whether it was something as simple as choosing an outfit or as significant as making decisions in relationships. I've realized the importance of staying true to myself and embracing my unique journey, even when it's challenging. Through daily affirmations and trusting in God's direction, I've begun to step into confidence and authenticity. I hope this episode resonates with you as we all continue on our paths to intentional living and self-discovery.
