October is National Coming Out Month, also known as LGBTQ+ History Month in some places. It is a time to honor the act of coming out and raise awareness about LGBTQ+ issues, celebrating LGBTQ+ visibility and awareness. National Coming Out Day, on October 11, honors the courage of those who come out and promotes inclusion and acceptance for the LGBTQ+ community. Candace Gingrich is a prominent LGBTQ+ activist, educator, and advocate for equality. Sibling to former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, Candace has used their platform to raise awareness about LGBTQ+ rights, particularly focusing on issues like marriage equality and anti-discrimination laws. As a leader in the Human Rights Campaign and a visible figure in the fight for LGBTQ+ equality, Candace has worked tirelessly to promote inclusion and social justice. Rodney Wilson is a pioneering LGBTQ+ activist best known for founding Gay History Month, an initiative that highlights and celebrates the contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals throughout history. Through his advocacy, Randy has worked to advance LGBTQ+ rights, focusing on grassroots organizing and community building.
