2025 Season Finale Post Big Game
In this season finale, we look back on the wild NFL year they’ve been breaking down since Week 1, revisiting bold predictions, surprise contenders, and the teams that completely fell apart. From the Panthers’ Cinderella story and the Seahawks’ late‑season surge to the Patriots’ struggles and the Bills’ constant “bridesmaid, never the bride” status, we unpack what really defined this season. Why explosive 40–40 shootouts usually mean bad defense, how the Seahawks’ lights‑out unit and Sam Darnold’s redemption run decided the Super Bowl, and what it all says about the future of the AFC and NFC. Pivoting to the most talked‑about moment of the night: Bad Bunny’s halftime show. Among the rant, the cultural backlash, accessibility for deaf viewers, Puerto Rican representation, and all the Easter eggs—from celebrity cameos to the story behind his jersey number. Finally, a run through NFL Honors, under‑the‑radar awards, and why early betting favorites for next season might be missing the bigger picture. See you in August for Season 3! ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2025 Championship Playoff Week Roundup
01/27/2026
2025 Championship Playoff Week Roundup
Amanda and her dad break down the packed post‑season landscape with equal parts insight and attitude. From Pro Bowl drama and Shadeur Sanders outrage to why Sam Darnold and the Seahawks might actually have the edge over Drake May and the Patriots in Santa Clara in 2 weeks. They tackle fan backlash, betting lines, and the “power of friendship” narrative with the kind of chemistry you only get from family. Along the way, they unpack how “easy schedules” can fool you, why convincing wins matter, and which teams are truly built for February football. Then it’s a rapid‑fire tour of the NFL’s coaching carousel, from Robert Saleh to Tennessee and John Harbaugh landing with the Giants, to Jeff Hafley in Miami, Jesse Minter in Baltimore, and Kevin Stefanski trying to finally stitch Atlanta together. They rant about the Harbaugh “wreath” instead of a coaching tree, owners meddling in press conferences, quarterbacks who can’t stay healthy because of bad offensive lines, and the most controversial move of all: Mike McCarthy reuniting with his “ex” Aaron Rodgers in Pittsburgh’s backyard. If you love smart football talk, a little gossip, and a lot of opinion, this episode is your new pre‑game ritual. ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2025 Wild Card Week Roundup 1-16-25
Wild Card weekend! We're breaking down all the games, especially the Houston Texans’ win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chicago bested Green Bay, San Francisco beat the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, LA Rams won over Carolina. Buffalo beat Jacksonville and New England beat The LA Chargers. Also, surprising coaching hot seats, and how “Black Monday” and “Black Tuesday” shook up the NFL sidelines this year. Also, Aaron Rodgers’ unexpected defense of HCs Mike Tomlin and Matt LaFleur and what that says about coaching trees and politics in the league, and why everyone in the coaching realm seems to be connected somehow. The conversation shifts from the field to the booth, we debate whether Aaron Rodgers has the personality and polish for TV compared to Tom Brady’s media makeover. Looking forward to the Division playoffs this weekend: NFC: Los Angeles at Chicago San Francisco at Seattle AFC: Houston at New England Buffalo at Denver ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2025 Week 18 Roundup 1-7-26
This week, we're diving into the NFL’s wild coaching carousel, unpacking Black Sunday, Black Monday, and now a shocking Black Tuesday that sent longtime Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh packing after 18 seasons. From the Atlanta Falcons’ controversial Kirk Cousins/Michael Penix Jr. gamble to the Arizona Cardinals’ decision to move on from HC Jonathan Gannon and what that really says about Kyler Murray’s future, they break down all seven head coach vacancies and which all but one GM somehow survived the bloodbath. We also run through every division to sort out who’s safe, who’s on the bubble, and which franchises are stuck in deeper, owner-level dysfunction (hello, Raiders and Commanders). Plus the ongoing debate whether Zac Taylor should be the real target of Black Wednesday in Cincinnati, why Kevin Stefanski’s ouster in Cleveland felt inevitable, and how much blame defenses like Detroit’s should carry when seasons go sideways. There's plenty of laughs about cursed stadiums, aging coaches, and “one bad season” overreactions. ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2025 Week 15 Roundup 12-17-25
Football with My Daughter Amanda dives into one of the wildest NFL seasons in recent memory, asking the question on everyone’s mind: what the hell happened this year? From Denver clinching the number one seed in the AFC to the Chiefs suddenly on the outside looking in, they break down the chaotic playoff picture, surprise contenders like the Colts, Jaguars, Texans and Panthers, and why some preseason favorites have completely fallen apart. They also hit the NFC side hard, from the shaky Lions and surging Bears to the brutal NFC West race between the 49ers, Seahawks and Rams. The episode doesn’t shy away from the human side of the game either, covering massive injuries like Patrick Mahomes’ torn ACL and LCL, what that means for scrambling quarterbacks, and how the infamous “Madden curse” keeps haunting NFL stars. Mixing sharp analysis with fan emotion as we debate whether this is finally the year for Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson, and imagine wild Super Bowl scenarios involving the 49ers, Steelers, Rams, Bears and more. If you love football talk that blends stats, storylines and a healthy dose of “did that really just happen?”, this episode is for you! ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

The hosts debate surprises including matcha-fueled Chicago Bears wins, unexpected Rams and Panthers outcomes, and big injuries affecting star players such as Justin Herbert and Daniel Jones. 2025 Week 12 Roundup 11-26-25
Amanda and John dive into a wild Week 12, calling it the strangest week yet with three overtime thrillers, a bunch of games decided by a single field goal, and the Rams suddenly looking like the NFC’s team to beat at 9-2 after battering a banged‑up Buccaneers squad and knocking Baker Mayfield out with a shoulder sprain. They break down the Eagles’ blown 21–0 lead to the Cowboys, what it means for A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, and why Amanda thinks Philly’s defense, not the offense, is the real issue if they want another Super Bowl run. From there, they get into the 49ers’ messy but crucial Monday night win over the Panthers despite Brock Purdy’s three interceptions, praising Christian McCaffrey, a patched‑together Robert Saleh defense, and some clutch playmaking that kept San Francisco at 8-4 and tied atop Monday Night Football’s all‑time wins list. A spin around the AFC, talking hot Patriots and Broncos, red‑hot Ravens, a Texans team leaning on defense while C.J. Stroud rides out a slump, and why the Bills, Jags, Chargers and others may be living in wild‑card world by the time this chaotic season is done. ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2025 Week 11 Roundup 11-19-25
All we know is that this season of football has been as unpredicable as ever. Who would have thought that the Chiefs dynasty might come up short of the playoffs this season. Or that the Denver Broncos would be the number one seed int he AFC, after barely winning most of their games. About the only expected outcome thus season is the World Champ Eagles sitting pretty atop the NFC after week 11. Brock Purdy suited up this week after missing half the 49er season with turf toe. Brock looked every bit as good as he ever has in a division matchup with Arizona. If the season ended today, there'd be a lot of .500 teams in the playoffs. There are only 7 slots for each conference and may the best teams be in thetop 7 in 7 weeks. ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2025 Week 10 Roundup 11-12-25
A look at week 10 around the league. Specifically, things are changing at the mid-way post of the season. We talk the early game on Sunday in Berlin, the Thursday and Monday Night snorefests this week, and the ever changing NFC North, its that close. The Bengals won this week becaue they were on a bye! And how weird is it that The Steelers are in first place in the AFC North and the Ravens are a game back, yet the probability of Pittsburgh making the playoffs are lower than Baltimores. We are calling the NFC West for either Seattle or LA, pending any injuries. This weeks standouts: Patriots, Seahawks, The Jets??? and of course The Colts. We take a look at the power rankings, where Seattle sits in the Number one spot this week. ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2024 Division Playoffs Week
Well, some real surprises in the Playoffs, INCLUDING the mighty Detoit Lions' season coming to an end at the hands of a rookie QB, Jayden Daniels and the 6th seed Washington Commanders. Though he cleared the concussion protocol on the sidelines, Jerrod Goff received a mighty hard hit in the chin and was not the same afterwards, throwing three interceptions and setting The Commanders up for their first trip to the NFC Championship game in over 3 decades! Philadelphia beat Los Angeles, as expected, and now hosts Washington next week for a trip the the Superbowl. No rookie QB has ever won a Superbowl, so Jayden Daniels stands on the shoulders of greatness. In the AFC, Buffalo did in the Baltimore Ravens, though it was close, a dropped PAT pass close to end Baltimore's season, and a good season it was too. The Kansas City Chiefs won their playoff game, as expected and host Buffalo in the AFC Championship game this weekend. ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2024 Wildcard Week Roundup 1-14-25
Results from the first weekend of the playoffs. In the AFC ALL the visiting teams lost. The next round is all Division Winners, joined by Kansas City, who as the first seed had this weekend off. The Division games look like this: KC hosts Houston and Buffalo hosts Baltimore. The NFC ALMOST ended up the same way, but Washington was able to squeeze past the Bucs in teh final seconds to attempt a game winning field goal. The kick hit the right upright BUT fell in to give the Commanders the win. Division weekend for the NFC then will be Detroit hosting Washington and Philadelphia hosting LA Rams, who beat the second best team in the NFL this season, The Minnesot Vikings. We run down the coaching sitch, who's out, and speculation on where some of the ousted coaches might wind up. ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2024 Week Sixteen Roundup 12-24-24
Week 16 roundup: The Playoffs are almost set. It looks like the 1st and 2nd seeds on both sides are likely to hold on to those spots. Currently, in the AFC Kansas City is the 1st seed, Buffalo is 2nd, Baltimore 3rd and Houston 4th. The wild card spots for now: 5 - Pittsburgh, 6 - LAC, 7 - Denver. Colts, Dolphins and Bengals are on the bubble. All other AFC teams have been eliminated. On the NFC side, the 1st seed is currenlty Detroit, 2nd is Philadelphia, 3rd LAR, and 4th is Altanta. The wild card spots, currently are 5 - Minesota, 6 - Green Bay and 7 - Washington. on the bubble Seahwaks and Buccaneers. All other NFC teams have been eliminated. The NFC is a lot tighter at the top than the AFC. Both the Vikings and the Lions could come down to the final week. At this point, Detroit holds all tie breakers or both Minnesota and Philly.

2024 Week Fifteen Roundup 12-19-24
Roundup of week 15 of the 2024 season. The playoff pic is starting to gel. NFC has some company at the top of the seeds, in that there is a 3-way tie for first at 12-2: Lions, Vikings and Eagles. Detroit wins the tie-breakers so far and retains the #1 Seed after losing Sunday to the Bills. We can kiss the season goodbye in SF, just not enough tools to revive a stuggling season of top-level injuries. In the AFC, the Chiefs have clinched a first round bye. Still many in the hunt in the AFC wild cards as well as the NFC. The last three weeks are going to be a track meet for the finish line and we're up for it! Rundown of week 13 of the 2024 season. A look at the Playoff picture, both conferences are starting to gel and very few changes expected as we head down the home stretch. The elephant in the room: The 49ers, chosen at the start of the season to win the Super Bowl are mired in last place in the NFC West for a third weekend in a row after losing badly to Buffalo and now seemingly have very little possibility of making the playoffs. We talk about winning the Locker Room, helmet to helmet fouls, and our disappointments. Starting with SF, we move on to Cincinnati who ave been playing great offense, just can't seem to win. 2024 Week Twelve Roundup 11-26-24
Rundown of week 12 of the 2024 season. Lots of byes this week, but also a number of "meh" games. Both New York teams have a problem, is this season a wash for the Giants and the Jets. Playoff picture has remained the same, except for one wpot, switching the Cardinals and the Seahawks after Seatle's win on Sunday. While the NFC West seems to be any teams' to lose, only one team will make it from the Wwest to the Playoffs and it won't be a wild card game. NFC North is the best conference in the NFL, and will likely stay that way. Dallas won! A little too little too late though. Saquon Barkley (PHI) earns our Best Player of the week for this outstanding performance and leading Fantasy points. Turkey Day football, Black Friday as well, going to be a great weekend upcoming. ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2024 Week Eleven Roundup 11-19-24
Rundown of week 11 of the 2024 season. After missing last week due to vacation, I'm back this week. The season is starting to "gel" and the playoff picture is fairly clear for the Top 4 seeds in both conferences. Of note, the NFC North is a juggernaut, expect 3 of the 4 teams to make the playoffs, and tie up the wild card seeds. In the AFC, there may be some jocking for postions between seeds 1 and 2, but both current seeds should be in the playoffs. How bad are the Dallas Cowboys? The 49ers waste another late lead to lose in the final moments of the game with Seattle, virtually knotting the NFC West at almost a dead heat (literally everyone is the same 500 Won/Lose percentage and only 1 game out of first place). Kansas City finally fell this week from the undefeated pedestal, and their opponent, the Buffalo Bills, handed them their first loss, and likely not their last the rest of the season. Dad picks Detroit and Buffalo to play in the Super Bowl. ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2024 Week Nine Roundup 11-5-24
Rundown of week 9 of the 2024 football season. While today is the deadline for trading in the NFL, as of production time we hadn't experienced any new trades but fully expect some significant trades by end of the deadline today (11.5.24). This week, ejections, overtime gaes and the divisions are beginning to shape up at this midway point through the season. Kansas City is still the only undefeated team in the league. Baltimore and both Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry are cleaning up nicely as they get ready for their second half of the season. Cincinnati is marching back, but will find it tough to stay up with the Ravens. Arizon is hot in the NFC West with another blow out against Chicago. Last minute decision for Buffalo and Miami in an AFC East fight, lights out for Dallas in Atlanta. And the list of under 500 teams grows again this week. Players of note: Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, both injured, New Orleans WR Chris Olave carted off the field after a dangerous two defender sandwich and he laid out for a few minutes bus is expected to be ok. Bryce Young has a bright future, and a lot of heart. Detroit is the real deal, and, apparently, a "dome team." ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2024 Week Eight Roundup 10-29-24
Rundown of week 8 of the 2024 football season. Things are starting to gel in the divisions as we approach the midday point in the season. Some of these teams have to start thinking of how they can pull out this season, including Dallas, Cincinnati, Las Vegas, Cleveland, New Orleans, Carolina, both New York teams, New England, Miami, Jacksonville and Tennessee. This weak's squeakers were determined at games' end, but one in particular, the Commanders/Bears matchup was determined with :00 on the game clock, and a helluva hail Mary! Officials need to do a better job beacuse a key non-call hurt Minnesota's chance of a last minute tie to be dashed by a Safety, and really a non-call on the face mask that would have kept their drive alive. KC is still undefeated and picked up another Chess piece in their game to repeat Super Bowl wins. Detroit has shown that they are the ones to beat in the NFC as they spit out another unworthy opponent. Dallas has some soul searching to do if they are going to make a run for the playoffs in a dominant division led by Washington and Philadelphia (surprised? Us too). The Browns beat the Ravens with their 2nd string, veteran QB. This week's players of note: Jameis Winston, Jayden Daniels, Tua Tagovailoa, Josh Allen ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2024 Week Seven Roundup 10-22-24
Rundown of week seven of the 2024 football season. There's a lot to unpack this week in the NFL: from Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers reuniting and it doesn't feel so good, to Las Vegas picking a new/old QB and the injuries! Many are season ending for NFL stars that are already banged up. If you are the 49ers, you wouldn't think your luck on injuries could get any worse yet because they lost not one but 3 pass catchers this week, WRs by ready in case Coach Shanahan calls you this week. Cleveland thought they had issues, and then Deshaun Watson appears to be out the rest of the season, and last night's Ravens Bucs game saw both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin leave Baker Mayfield empty down field. Some gritty, grind 'em out games that came down to the last seconds this week, including the most important one for power standings, Detroit and Minnesota. Also Green Bay handing a last minute loss to Houston and the LA Chargers losing last second. We're at mid season and plenty of teams under 500, which will make it tough to mae the playoffs, unless you are a team in the NFC West, which is separated by one game from 1st to 3rd place. Plus blow outs (there were a bunch) and the questionable presser when Miami's Tua Tagovailoa stated that he'd give his life (essentially) to continue to play. And then there was only 1 undefeated team: Kansas City ©Mouthful Media MouthfulMedia.com

2024 Week Six Roundup 10-15-24
Rundown of week six of the 2024 football season. Gone too soon Coach Robert Selah fired from the NY Jets, who's really to blame? A big week for runaway wins, specifically Detroit v. Dallas, Texas v. New England and Tampa v. New Orleans. Are the Jaguars the worst team in the NFL? Or did the jet lag last minute to London affect their performance? If so, they are still there to play again this coming Sunday. Now that the Eagles are back to full stregth, what's with that lackluster performance Sunday? A lot of teams are now looking to be out of the running at this point for the playoffs, in addition to Jax, Cleveland, Tennessee, New England, LA Rams, and Carolina are all 1 and... at this point. The West Coast offense no longer works, you must run the ball to win games. It's time to start winning for a bunch of teams that are two and and three and. Key injuries: Adrian Hutchinson The 2 undefeated teams (Kansas City and Minnesota) had byes. This week: Aaron Rodgers, Jayden Daniels, again!
