BizQuikie - What Job are you Hiring for?

BizQuikie - What Job are you Hiring for?
Welcome to the BizQuik podcast, where we help entrepreneurs and business owners navigate the ups and downs of running a business. I'm your host, Julie Traxler, and in today's episode, we'll be discussing a concept from Clayton M. Christensen's book, "How Will You Measure Your Life?" called "What Job are you Hiring for?" According to Christensen, understanding the job your customers are trying to accomplish is crucial for creating a successful product or service. It's not just about selling a product or service, it's about helping your customers achieve their goals. For example, let's say you own a coaching business. Your clients aren't just hiring you to give them advice, they're hiring you to help them achieve a specific goal. Maybe they want to increase sales or improve their communication skills. Understanding the job your clients are hiring you for will help you create a more effective solution that meets their needs. The same goes for any business. Whether you're selling a product or service, understanding the job your customers are trying to accomplish is key to creating a successful business. You're gonna focus on the job to be done. You can then create a more effective solution that meets the needs of your customers. As entrepreneurs and business owners, it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day tasks of running a business. But it's important to take a step back and ask yourself, what job are my customers hiring me for? By understanding your customers' needs and goals, you can create a business that truly meets their needs. So, take some time to think about the job your customers are hiring you for. Are you meeting their needs? Are you providing a solution that truly helps them achieve their goals? By focusing on the job to be done, you can create a more successful and fulfilling business for yourself and your customers. That's it for today's episode of BizQuik. Thanks for tuning in, and we'll see you next time. BizQuiker - Why Does it Matter What My Prospects Pain is?
Welcome to BizQuik, the podcast for entrepreneurs who want to stay ahead of the game. In today's episode, we're talking about a critical aspect of sales - understanding your prospect's pain. When you can identify the pain points of your prospects, you can tailor your sales pitch to address their specific needs. This builds trust and rapport, which are crucial components of any successful sales strategy. Julie also emphasizes the importance of ethical business practices. She reminds us that "business is a long-term play, and you want to build relationships and help people for the long-term." In other words, it's not just about making a sale; it's about building meaningful relationships with your customers. As entrepreneurs, it's easy to get caught up in the transactional aspect of sales, but Julie reminds us that relationships should always come first. By focusing on building long-term relationships, we can establish ourselves as ethical and trustworthy business owners. So, if you want to succeed in sales, remember to prioritize relationships over transactions. Understand your prospect's pain, tailor your pitch to address their needs, and build meaningful relationships that will benefit both you and your customers in the long run. BizQuikie - Isn't Sales Just A Bunch Of Douchebags Trying To Muscle You?
Welcome to the BizQuik Podcast, where we help entrepreneurs navigate the ups and downs of running a successful business. In today's episode, we're talking about a topic that's often misunderstood: sales. Our host, Julie Traxler, will be discussing why some people think sales is just a bunch of douchebags trying to muscle you, and the truth behind this common misconception. First up, Julie explains why bait and switch tactics, upselling, and quick decision making pressure are not the way to go when it comes to sales. These tactics might seem like a quick way to close a deal, but they ultimately damage the relationship between businesses and their customers. Instead, Julie highlights the importance of relationship building in sales. Building trust and rapport with customers is the key to successful sales. By understanding the customer's needs and pain points, businesses can create a solution that truly solves their problems and meets their needs. But what about the pros and cons of sales? Julie breaks it down for us, explaining that while sales can be a great way to drive revenue and growth, it can also be a double-edged sword. When done correctly, sales can be a powerful tool for businesses. But when done poorly, it can damage the reputation of the business and turn customers away. To wrap it up, Julie emphasizes the importance of marketing in the sales process. Marketing lays the foundation for successful sales by creating a strong brand and attracting the right customers. By working together, sales and marketing can create a seamless customer journey that ultimately drives growth for the business. Thanks for tuning in to the BizQuik Podcast! BizQuiker - What does "Facts Tell, Stories Sell" mean?
Hey there! Today on the BizQuik Podcast, we're diving into the topic of "What Does Facts Tell, Stories Sell Mean?" Host Julie Traxler will be exploring how storytelling can be a powerful tool for businesses to connect with their target audience and make a lasting impression. In this episode, we'll be discussing several key points to keep in mind when crafting a story for your brand: Know Your Audience: Before you start crafting your story, it's important to understand your target audience's pain points, desires, and values. By tailoring your story to resonate with your audience, you can create a deeper connection and increase engagement. Be Authentic: When sharing a story, it's important to be genuine and transparent. Don't make up a story just for the sake of selling - instead, share real stories about your brand, customers, or team. Use Visuals: Visuals such as images, videos, or infographics can enhance your storytelling and make it more memorable. By incorporating visual elements, you can bring your story to life and capture your audience's attention. Keep it Simple: Your story should be easy to understand and remember. Avoid using jargon or technical terms that your audience may not be familiar with, and focus on conveying your message in a clear and concise way. Have a Clear Message: Make sure your story has a clear message or call-to-action that encourages your audience to take action. Whether it's signing up for your newsletter, making a purchase, or sharing your story with others, be sure to include a clear next step for your audience. By incorporating these storytelling tips into your marketing strategy, you can create a more engaging and memorable experience for your target audience. So tune in to the BizQuik Podcast to learn more about how to use storytelling to sell your brand!
