Once upon a time, Strong Roots and Wide Branches had been a thriving monthly series of live classes. Now, River Devora is offering years’ worth of curriculum as a podcast. In addition to being in religious and spiritual relationship with deities, most polytheistic cultures past and present also included ancestor veneration, respectful protocols for engaging with the land and the world in which we are embedded, life cycle rituals, personal ethics, personal growth and healing, group mores and protocols for managing community and other people, ritual and spiritual artistic expression, and the necessary spirit tech to best do these things. Deepening into our polytheist religious paths gives us the opportunity to draw closer to our gods and sit in more integrated right relationship with them, with ourselves, and with the world around us. Any religion should ideally be part of a foundation on which the construction of a meaningful, secure, and respectful life and set of relationships can be built. Strong Roots & Wide Branches seeks to help polytheist people of a variety of faiths and practices shore up those foundations.
