2 Old White Guys Talking About Race Relations
My friend, Darrell Jones is a “heart level” man in my life. He has been for 15 years. He is one of a few black friends in my life. We can talk about anything, and we have. I have learned a bunch about Jesus and life from my time with Darrell. We recorded this Podcast Episode today, and then I got this from my friend. Thanks again, Darrell. Darrell's Corner With all that is going on in the world today, we need to take time to focus on our faith and we need a STRONG GOD. I listen to music and find that it often speaks to me. The song Strong God reminded me that we are currently in a “MAYDAY, MAYDAY”. From COVID-19 to the unrest due to race relations we have a lot to ask God. In asking we must take time and listen for his response. We should be prepared when the response takes us out of our comfort zone, because the first step is the hardest. But the strength of our faith in God helps to push us forward. The strength of our faith keeps us from focusing on the ills of this current world and keeps our heads lifted to the sky in hope for and working towards a brighter future. By keeping our focus on God we can find the common ground and LOVE for each other that will lead to understanding and us being able to see each other. Through the devotion of our faith in God and appreciation for our fellow humans, most especially the children, to have a better world - we have our work cut out.
