Why 6 Figures is NOT the Goal in my upLIFT Mentormind [Ep. 112]
Are you tired of hearing how a 6 figure income would change everything for you? It feels like so many people in the online business space are doing whatever they can to hit that idealized number, but what does it mean for you if that isn’t exactly what works best for you right now? Over my 7+ years of building a business online, I have seen dozens of programs, courses, and masterminds that are targeted to helping you reach 6 figures, 7 figures, and beyond. Many of these programs are great. I know of some of them personally that truly do provide support, guidance, and coaching to help you reach those particular business goals. There's nothing wrong with having a financial goal attached to a program in terms of the results that they are promising. However, I have intentionally decided NOT to have my upLIFT Mentormind be a program that is focused on helping you reach a particular revenue goal. And in episode 112, I'm going to tell you why. 4 Problems a Faith-Based Business Mastermind Can Help You Overcome [Ep. 111]
Have you ever had a goal, or something you wanted to accomplish, but you just didn't know how to get there? Maybe you knew some of the things that needed to be done, but you couldn't seem to put it all together. It's like trying to do a puzzle without having the cover of the box available for you to see what the final picture looks like. You might be able to get the puzzle put together eventually, but it's a lot harder when you don't know what it's supposed to look like. I recently experienced this when trying to get my home ready to sell. I needed help and a strategy, so I called a friend over to help me strategize and organize my home to get it prepared for the sale. Once she came and helped me the first time it got the ball rolling, and I was able to move forward with the tools and suggestions she had given me on how to tackle this huge project. I was able to then go on and continue doing a lot of the work on my own. And this is how it is sometimes in our businesses. Sometimes we need the support of others to help us get started on things that seem way too massive or challenging to start alone, or if we do it takes us way longer than it might have if we took advantage of the support we could have. Therefore, episode 111 of the podcast talks about 4 problems that a faith-based mastermind might help you overcome. Maybe you are wondering if you should even listen to this episode or read this blog post where I’m talking about this concept of leveraging your expertise. What do you do if you feel this way? What do you do if you are trying to build a business online and you don’t consider yourself an expert? In this episode, I’ll share with you a four-step exercise that will help you move forward, no matter what. The other day I was on a call with a bunch of women who are all part of the same mastermind. We were having a brainstorming call and we were discussing upcoming presentations that several of us had. In the midst of the discussion, a theme rose to the top: many of these brilliant women were concerned that their presentations would not be valuable enough. They didn’t want to look stupid as compared to all the other people presenting at the same event. As I listened, all I could think was: but you are all so smart! You’re all experts, and none of you are going to look dumb! The truth is, many times we don’t see our own brilliance. We don’t recognize our own areas of expertise, even when others do. Make 2023 The Year to Leverage Your Expertise [Ep. 101]
What if this year was the year that you decided to leverage your expertise? What if you could embrace the way God has gifted you and the knowledge, the experience, the training, and the investments you've made that have led you to where you are today? And what if you stopped holding back on how you're building your business, and you really decided to leverage what you've accomplished up to this point and stepped into that expert status? I believe that you have the power to impact and influence culture. As Christians, I believe it's not just our opportunity, but it's our responsibility to do this. Instead of just going along with the things that culture is throwing at us and that the world around us accepts as normal, such as the practices and business strategies that are out there, we as Christian business women can actually create, innovate, produce things, and do things differently than the world does around us. 2022 Year in Review - A Peek Behind the Curtain of My Business [Ep. 100]
Have you ever wondered about the ins and outs of my business? What works and what doesn’t? The wins and losses? I think it’s so important to hear the real truth about someone’s business in order to get the whole story and the full picture. After an unplanned hiatus at the end of 2022, I am back and thrilled to share new content with you this year! To kick off this year, I’m taking a step back and letting you have a peek inside my business with a full Year in Review for episode 100 of the podcast. I and I know that most people enjoy hearing a bit of the “behind the scenes” kind of content. And as you know, I am pretty honest about business and don’t want you to get false ideas about what it’s like building an online biz. I know a lot of the stories that we hear in the online space are all about the wins and celebrations, but I also think it's important for people to be honest about the hard work that they put in, the money that they invest, and all the other things that go into running a business online. So today I’ll share what worked, what didn’t work, some lessons I’ve learned, and what’s going to be both changing and staying the same in my business this coming year. [Podcast Update] Personal Message from Esther
If you're a regular listener of the Christian Woman Business Podcast, maybe you've been wondering what happened to the show? You might have noticed that I released episode 99 on Nov. 3rd, and then I have been MIA since. Now, this is a seasonal podcast and I have taken breaks in the past. But I usually tell you about those breaks, and this time, I just ghosted you. So here’s the deal - I have had a major life situation going on, and I simply have not had the capacity to get new episodes out since that first episode in November. One thing I’ve learned in the past several weeks, more than ever before, is that there’s one thing you MUST protect when you are in business: and it’s yourself. I had to make soem really hard decisions, and one of those was putting both of my podcasts on hold for a time. At this point, my hope is to have new episodes releasing in the new year, but that is not definite. In the meantime, I want to share with you a couple episodes I recommend that you check out, especially as we are currently in December of 2022 and preparing for a new year. Perhaps you feel ready for a change in your business in 2023. Maybe you’ve been seeing consistent income and you’re ready to elevate what you are doing and have a business that THRIVES and allows you to live your ideal life. I want to invite you to consider joining us inside of my upLIFT Mentormind. upLIFT is full of incredible women who will support you in addition to the marketing strategy and business coaching I will provide you.

Growing Your Business When You are Maxed Out on Time [Strategy Session with Laura Howe] [Ep. 99]
What do you do when your business has grown and you are maxed out on time? How can you take the process and the transformation you offer as an individual consultant, service provider, or coach and serve more people? Listen in to this strategy session for some ideas you may not have considered. In this strategy session, you’ll hear from my friend Laura Howe. Laura is the founder of Hope Made Strong, and she has a consulting business working with churches. She came to me with an issue in her business, and we sat down to work it out together. We talk about what to do when you've gotten your business to the point where you're getting clients, but you're running out of time. Without more time, you can't really serve more people, but you would like to potentially earn more, or at least free up some of your time. She and I hash out what the options are when you’re in this sort of situation, and some practical steps for moving forward with a solid game plan. If you enjoyed my conversation with Laura and want to know how you can join my upLIFT Mentormind that she mentioned was so helpful to her, head to to check out your options for joining! I’d love to have you. If you’re interested in a 1:1 strategy session like you heard with Laura, head . The space on these is incredibly limited because most of my time is spent serving my clients in upLIFT and other programs, but I encourage you to check out the link to see if this might be a good fit for you. Growing an Online Business Without Selling Your Soul to Social Media with Stef Gass [Ep. 95]
Have you ever felt like you have to sell your soul to social media in order to grow your platform? Or dreamed of what it might be like to sustain your biz while kissing social media goodbye? In this episode of the podcast, I talk with podcaster Stef Gass about what it takes to grow a business without social media. She shares vulnerably about her rise to network marketing success, her journey to hitting a rock bottom of sorts, and the way God used that challenging time to bring about a thriving business for Stef. She chats all about the ins and outs of creating a business by surrendering everything to God, and shares the importance of trusting Him with all aspects of your business. A major aspect Stef trusted God with in her business was removing social media from her business. While she still has a team member post weekly updates, she has completely removed herself from the process. Now Steff is passionate about exchanging the 1:1 platform usage of social media to a 1:many approach through podcasting. Throughout our conversation, she shares the depth and richness that podcasting can bring to a business and how it’s not only possible, but is an essential way for business to grow and thrive. Her knowledge, insight, and lessons learned have proven Stef as an expert in the podcasting arena, and I am thrilled to share her tips and stories with you! She’s certainly an inspiration for what your business could look like if you find yourself burnt out and tired of the social media hustle these days. Even if you’re not, you’re sure to find inspiration from her stories and ways of doing business! For the full show notes for this episode, head to .
