Making An Impact: 20 Year Old Filmmaker, Lauren Havel
Lauren Havel is a delightful 20-year-old award-winning filmmaker who has already directed, shot, and edited three professionally distributed feature films, and is helping lead her Gen -Z generation and others back to faith. Recognized as the youngest filmmaker on record to direct, shoot, and edit three professionally distributed feature films, Lauren has built a body of work that defies industry expectations. Her debut feature, titled “Screened In” earned the Young Filmmaker Award at the 2021 Christian Worldview Film Festival. Her second feature, “Not Broken”became one of the most-watched releases in her distributor’s history with millions of views worldwide and a profit on a $10,000 budget, landing in the top tier of independent film performance. Her newest film, “The Ground Beneath Our Feet” premiered in Franklin, TN in February and is resonating because it articulates what many leaders see daily - a generation deeply disconnected, quietly searching, and spiritually starved, yet they are open to faith when it’s presented with humility and truth. Hear about her mother, Jennifer Havel - the writer behind Lauren’s films, including “I Hate Kate” the true story of Jennifer’s own childhood bullying. It went viral on YouTube and garnered over 7.5 million views. Discover more at and on social media.

Today we are focusing on middle school age kids who are left to deal with their own trauma, loss and grief. But there’s a ministry called “LifeCampUSA” founded by Mark and Jane Neumann that guides children of fallen U.S. Military, Law Enforcement, and First Responder heroes on a faith-driven pursuit of character and healing. New Creation — From Success to Surrender (Part 2 with guest Jason Butler)
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 In Part 2 of Jenny’s conversation with Jason Butler, they recap and we pick up right where we left off—at the moment everything changed. After surrendering his life to Christ, Jason made a radical decision. He walked away from what the world would call success to pursue something far more valuable: a real relationship with Jesus. But as he shares in this episode, following Christ isn’t just about a moment—it’s about a daily choice. Jenny and Jason talk candidly about what it really means to follow Him in today’s culture. What does it look like to radiate Jesus instead of blending in? What does discipleship actually cost? And how can one person’s obedience change the trajectory of a family line? Jason’s testimony is a reminder that surrender isn’t loss—it’s the beginning of true life. To learn more about Jason’s ministry, podcast, counseling resources, and his book WILL JESUS KNOW YOU? New Creation — From Success to Surrender (Part 1 with guest Jason Butler)
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 In today’s episode, Jenny sits down with her friend Jason Butler for the first half of a powerful two-day conversation. Jason is a pastor, counselor, podcaster, and author—but before any of that, he was a highly successful businessman who appeared to have it all together. From the outside, his life looked impressive. Success, achievement, recognition. But behind closed doors, Jason was fighting private battles and wrestling with a deep emptiness he couldn’t explain. No amount of accomplishment could quiet the longing in his heart for something more. In this episode, Jason opens up about what it was like to live as what he calls a “cultural Christian”—knowing about Jesus, but not truly knowing Him. He shares how the tension between outward success and inward brokenness eventually brought him to a moment of surrender that changed everything. This is an honest, hope-filled conversation about identity, striving, and the turning point that happens when Jesus becomes real. Be sure to come back for Part 2, where Jason shares what happened after that surrender—and how it impacted not only his life, but the generations that followed.

Sharing the Gospel Through The Nativity
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” ~ Isaiah 9:6 “Its time once again for the story to be told!” Sometimes we get lost in all the excitement and forget the real reason we celebrate it! Finding the real joy in Christmas is when you make Jesus the center of the season. Jenny’s guests today are Jen Corbin, President of the Nativity Pageant of Knoxville Board of Directors and Julie McMurray, Publicity Chair to talk about the 57th Nativity Pageant of Knoxville and how Jesus has worked in their lives to lead them there! Take time this Christmas season to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas by glorifying the One who came because He loves us. God with us - Immanuel, left Heaven and joined his human creation. Through His life, death and resurrection, Jesus fulfilled God’s plan of redemption that HE planned from the beginning of the world. Thanks to our Title Sponsor & Ministry Partner Campbell Dental Care with an assist from Denise King, Realtor, - Noble Realty. Her mother attempted to abort her, but God intervened in a miraculous way. The Lord has touched her life in so many ways and it’s amazing how my two guests met! Today, Adriana’s testimony is one of forgiveness, redemption, and hope—and it’s incredible how her path crossed with Jenny’s second guest, Melanie Azarcon, Partner & Church Liaison for Health Bridge Global. They are partnering to help build “Life Medical Hospital”, a women’s hospital in Romania so women don’t have to resort to abortion for birth control. The plan is to care for women from conception to post birth. How do you forgive your mother who tried to abort you, reminded you of it throughout her life, and aborted your siblings? How do you forgive? Only JESUS! And now Adriana and her husband have two beautiful children of their own! Her story also reaches beyond her own family: She shares a heart-wrenching story of how an abortion 30 years ago affected a family here in the States and how God used Adriana to help them heal and break those lies of the enemy. This conversation is raw, inspiring, and filled with hope—a powerful reminder of God’s ability to transform pain into purpose. If you or someone you know needs emotional healing after abortion, Deeper Still Ministries can help. () - Find freedom from your abortion wounded heart.
