Close Up Radio to Highlight Legal Nurse Consultant Denise Clark
Englewood, FL -- Denise Clark is a long-time nurse with a mission: to help attorneys and plaintiffs win their cases, and to help spread the word that this specialty she considers her second career exists. Denise was always a skilled RN interested in expanding her knowledge base, in fact she has a Board Certification in Emergency Nursing, a clinical area she worked in for about 35 years. Few nurses have the initiative to undergo additional training and sit for an exam to attain that honor. Denise then went on to explore a new career, one that would utilize her clinical instincts and ability to explain things to patients in terms they could grasp. It was also a career that had more flexibility in scheduling. Denise is now an independent Legal Nurse Consultant with full certification. It means she is a nurse who gives attorneys involved in medical cases a competitive edge, helping them analyze electronic medial records, develop reports and discovery questions, and prepare briefs or depositions. “As an ER nurse there were many times I had to explain things to a patient. The doctors didn’t have time or used complicated terms. This is similar. We collaborate with attorneys to educate them and their clients on the nursing aspect of what happened to the patient. It helps jurors understand once the case goes to court. This is also lifesaving work.” All those years in the Emergency Department helped Denise realize that no two cases are ever the same, even people with the same symptoms or diagnosis are after all, two different people, with distinct needs and desires that have to be taken into account. Indianapolis, IN – Eve Carson is the author of the book Simple, Safe & Secret: The 1981 Murder of Joan L. Webster. Eve seeks to keep alive the memory of her sister-in-law, Joan Webster, a Harvard Student, who perished in November of 1981, under very suspicious circumstances. Despite being a cold case and meeting resistance at every turn, Eve continues to seek justice for Joan. “I investigated the investigation itself, and that’s where the problems were,” explains Eve. “It was a fabricated story – verifiably false. Authorities even today have circled the wagons to cover up malfeasance. There are a lot of things that can contribute to authorities being involved.” In this new two-part radio series, Eve will offer a more detailed perspective surrounding this decades long cold case. Some of the material that Eve will discuss includes the cab driver at Logan Airport that last saw Joan alive, observations surrounding the Webster family, and how the documents that she was able to acquire do not match up with the investigation. She then will conclude with her views on how this case can and should be resolved. “To be silent, would make me complicit,” declares Eve. “Knowledge is very empowering, and has been healing in some regards.” Eve actively calls for justice even to this day. In fact, she is in the process of starting a nonprofit called Victims of Injustice Speak (VOIS). For more information, please visit To purchase Eve’s book, please visit

She lets them know that she has “walked in their shoes,” that a divorce coach can be more of a saving than an expense, and then together they define the goals for moving forward Nanette notes that when women learn a divorce is pending, the first thing they usually do is hire an attorney, She believes they should start a coaching relationship at the same time, or even before. They should also make contact with a financial advisor early on. When you are sorting out 25 to 40 years of a life together, preparation is key. “I recognize marriage is never easy and I sure don’t advocate for divorce. But if it does happen, knowledge and preparation are vital. There’s a process for getting out and you need to understand it.” For more information, please visit

Close Up Radio Welcomes Back Dr. Edward Smink of The Soul Of Caregiving

Close Up Radio Welcomes Back Dr. Edward Smink of The Soul Of Caregiving
San Diego, CA -- Edward Smink, PhD is a mostly retired caregiver who nearly lost it all until he came to the realization that he had an issue that he could not solve alone. He reached out for help and he credits his coach in saving his life. He learned the value of self-care, sharing his story, and valuing his emotions. Now he runs a coaching business, publishes books, and speaks on the topic of The Soul of Caregiving. Dr. Smink notes that caregiving is a dance, a dance between caring for others and selfcare. We are hardwired as humans to give instead of receive, and we frequently neglect to care for our own selves. He has defined the term compassion fatigue, which is different from burnout, as being exhausted from doing something that you love to the point where it hurts. Whether the caregiver is a family member, a healthcare worker, or a first responder such as a fireman, they can all reach that same point of exhaustion. They care because they are human. In his radio show, he will go over what he calls The Big Three Cultural Taboos caregivers face. Healing means to do the opposite of what we were culturally taught. Dr. Smink will also talk about the new edition of his book which has questions and pages one can use to journal. It is not a how-to book, but a series of stories that will inspire caregivers and help them reflect on their individual emotions and experiences. It can help the provider do what they do best and still be supportive—without feeling overburdened or alone. “Caregivers are notorious for not developing skills of self-care. Yet it’s not their fault alone,” he stresses. For more information about the business and book please visit

Close Up Radio to Feature Coach and Author Kathy Baldwin of Rise Up Coaching
Kitchener, ON -- Kathy Baldwin is an acclaimed author, speaker and coach whose work all focuses on the same subject: rising up from the pain, trauma, and challenges that keep us from being whole, empowered, and successful. This is one reason her business is named Rise Up Coaching. Kathy shares her journey in speeches and books, such as the new release Unlearn the Crap about Personal Success and Empowerment: Shattering the Illusion of What it Takes to Become the Real You. This inspirational book provides a roadmap to overcome self-doubt and trauma and build a more abundant life. Kathy says that often we don’t adequately process trauma and stress through our lymphatic system, and it can alter our biochemistry and create disease. Once we learn about the quantum energy field, it can all be released or transmuted. It is also important to rewire our brains to generate new, more positive beliefs As a coach she helps people acknowledge their unprocessed trauma and cut the ties to anything that is disempowering. She guides them to understand the signals from their body and make a wise decision on what to do next. Some of her teaching is based on the universal laws of attraction, but Kathy notes that no one combines this with energy healing and empowerment tools quite the way she does. Kathy helps people realize that we can create ourselves and our futures. “We can all create a new chapter and a new identity. Find the transition point and then, wow! It’s like a second puberty. Done with that past phase and on to what I want next. Only this time, we’re prepared for it.” If you would like to learn more about Kathy and her work please visit

Close Up Radio Spotlights Kary Vannice of Get Your Vibe Right
Huatulco, Oaxaca, Mexico – Get Your Vibe Right, a transformative online emotional support community founded by Body Code™, and Belief Code® practitioner, and mindset coach, Kary Vannice. Kary originally started Get Your Vibe Right as a temporary solution to the isolation, fear and stress many women were experiencing because of the global pandemic in 2020. At the end of the pandemic, she closed the doors of the community thinking it had served its purpose, but years later, she is still seeing women suffering from high levels of anxiety, emotional isolation, and what she calls being emotionally “strung out” because of the uncertain times we’re living in. So, Kary has once again decided to open the virtual doors to a new and improved Get Your Vibe Right community in honor of International Women’s Day on March 8th, 2024. The women learn new healing strategies and tools, such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or how to leverage the power of neuroplasticity to reset brain function and overcome limiting beliefs that hinder their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Within the community, they start to thrive, not just survive. With these tools, they are empowered to shift out of stagnation, frustration and resignation and begin to manifest a life aligned with their deepest values. Within the Get Your Vibe Right circle, women navigate significant life changes and challenges in an environment where they feel supported, draw strength from one another, and inspire each other to achieve their dreams, embrace change, find inner healing, and overcome obstacles. Woodbridge, VA – Jenniffer Wilson is a well-respected employee of the federal government. Since 1989, she has worked for several government agencies with the primary responsibility of auditing. She has paid it forward by shifting her focus to training and mentoring other auditors. “I am not a financial auditor for the IRS,” clarifies Jenniffer. “I am a performance auditor in the oversight community that helps to promote efficiency and effectiveness in agency programs and operations.” “I have a lot of international experience combined with domestic experience, recalls Jenniffer. “The Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DODIG) is where I started my work. I then moved to the Government Accountability Office (GAO). The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) is where I temporarily stepped out of the audit world and became a certified project manager for information technology and got involved in major transformational initiatives. The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) is where I held positions of escalating responsibility, eventually becoming the senior representative in Afghanistan. The Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP) is where I became a board-certified senior executive. SIGTARP has to do with all the financial crisis money during the Great Recession. After, I moved to the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee (PRAC). That had to do with the money allocated for COVID-19 relief. Since October of 2023, I have been back at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) but this time, with the Center for Audit Excellence.” “I love being a public servant and serving the American people,” concludes Jenniffer. “I have found it very rewarding through having a passion for what I have been able to accomplish – protecting the taxpayer.”
