Improving Nonvalvular Atrial Fibrillation Patient Care and Outcomes

This podcast series will improve clinicians’ understanding of (1) anticoagulant stewardship/aspirin use in patients with cardiovascular disease, particularly as it relates to management of patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, or NVAF (i.e., identify patients who are or are not appropriate candidates, individualize treatment, dosing considerations, etc.); (2) current evidence-based guidelines and clinical data in managing patients with NVAF; (3) “clinical inertia” and how it may impact patient outcomes; and (4) appropriate management of patients with NVAF.
