More about Epigenetics and DNA It turns out that the precursor cells for male sperm and female eggs can carry significant epigenetic coding on the noncode parts of DNA from 2 or three generations. The egg is complete by the time the mother is born, but the male precursor cells don't start producing sperm till after puberty, and therefore any traumatic experience of the long male may get included in the epigenetic elements by the time the sperm is created. It takes about 4-6 weeks for sperm to be made from precursor cells so, any traumas along the way can get added in, whereas in the female, the precursor cells are redundant by 5 months into the mother's pregnancy /episode/index/show/eaa3ba99-cf15-405e-a9a6-dfb9575171a4/id/36261110
