The Ebenezer Project

**The Ebenezer Project: While There Is Still Time** What causes a person to truly change? What makes that change last? And what happens when someone recognizes, perhaps later than they wish, that there is still time to become a different kind of person? *The Ebenezer Project* explores those questions through the enduring story of Ebenezer Scrooge and *A Christmas Carol*. Hosted by author and minister David Anderson, the podcast uses Dickens's story as a starting point for conversations about memory, regret, generosity, redemption, mortality, and legacy. Along the way, David is joined by Dickens scholars, writers, performers, leaders, and guests whose work or personal stories offer insight into how people change and how that change can reshape a family, a business, a community, and ultimately a legacy. The podcast accompanies David's book, *The Funeral of Ebenezer Scrooge*, which imagines the life Scrooge might have lived after that remarkable Christmas morning and asks what could have been said at his funeral many years later. During December, *The Ebenezer Project* also becomes a companion to the book's 31-day journey, exploring the themes of Dickens's story without simply retelling or reading the chapters. Although *A Christmas Carol* provides the backdrop, the questions belong to every season. Scrooge was given an extraordinary opportunity to revisit his past, see his present more clearly, and glimpse the future his life was creating. *The Ebenezer Project* asks what might happen if we were willing to do the same. There is still time to mend what has been damaged, reconsider what we value, live more generously, and shape the legacy we will someday leave behind. **While there is still time.**
