Episode 36 - What to do when you are in the feels with your animal (or because of your animal)
Hello All! Many of us have had experiences, thanks to our animals, where we feel exposed, raw, shame, guilt, embarrassed, failure, etc. Here are some questions to ask yourself when that happens: -Why do I feel _______ ? (insert any word here - so exposed, guilty, like a failure, embarrassed, so shameful, like I have been caught, etc.) -Why am I so ________ ? (Angry, frustrated, bitter, resentful, disappointed) -Who am I truly ________ (insert word from above) with? -Do I have resistance in seeing my part in this situation? -Why do I want to give up? -What have I made this situation (could be illness, injury, behavioral, etc.) mean about me? -What would be a more helpful meaning / reaction? -What would be a better outcome / reality / situation? Then when the time feels right you can tap in and see if there is any information or guidance that wants to come through for you in that moment. -What is the next step I take? -Is there a long term plan that I need to feel into? -If yes, what does that look like or feel like? -Why did ___________ (the situation above) occur? -What can I learn from its unfolding? -How has this situation made me better, stronger, more aligned, authentic, whole, on purpose, more trusting, more confident? -What was my animal teaching me with this situation?
