EM SPACE is an Emergency Medicine podcast dedicated to advancing Full Open Access Medical Education (FOAMed) in the Middle East and beyond. Hosted by an Emergency Medicine physician Dr. Shaza Karrar, the podcast breaks down complex clinical and systems-level topics while featuring conversations with leaders shaping the future of the specialty. Launched in 2017, EM SPACE is the first Emergency Medicine podcast originating from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, created for Emergency Medicine residents and physicians worldwide. EM SPACE podcast focuses on toxicology, simulation-based education, executive leadership, clinical operations, and AI integration in healthcare, exploring how clinical excellence, systems thinking, and innovation intersect in modern Emergency Medicine.
